P T. ABC is a manufacturing company engaged in beauty cosmetics and herbal medicine, especially 175 ml olive oil products which are the best-selling products on the market. Olive Oil Products 175 ml although the demand can be mapped well, the problem of not achieving production demand still often occurs. The problem of production demand not being achieved is known because there is waste that occurs in production process activities, so that the performance of the production line is less than optimal. Improvement of waste that occurs can be done by using a lean manufacturing approach. Lean Manufacturing is an approach that maximizes the production process through minimization of waste by sorting out value added activities and Non-Value Added activities. The purpose of this study is to propose improvements related to the waste of the 175 ml olive oil production process that has been identified so that the expected production demand can be achieved. The research begins by identifying waste using a process flow map and the Waste Assessment Model method which is known to produce the largest waste in transportation worth 16.84%, overprocessing worth 15.78%, and waiting worth 15.26%. Mapping Current State Value Stream Mapping is done to provide an overview of the production process flow that results in Manufacturing Lead Time of 242.53 minutes, Process Cycle Efficiency (PCE) of 46.07% and a distance of 223.10 meters. Recommendations for proposed improvements to minimize waste that have been identified include improving the packaging area and using material handling drum lifters, eliminating inspection activities which are non-value added activities, and evaluating SOPs regarding the purchase of raw materials and making detailed preventive maintenance forms for paraffin transfer pumps, filling machines and labeling machines. The results of these recommendations for improvement were found that the production target achievement increased by 1.31% from 526,800 units to 533,688 units, Manufacturing Lead Time decreased by 1.27% and Process Cycle Efficiency (PCE) increased by 46.67% and the percentage of distance improvement was 2.73% (reduced by 217 meters).
