Hubungan antara sarapan pagi dengan prestasi akademik anak Sekolah Dasar
S arapan pagi adalah kegiatan penting sebelum melakukan aktivitas fisik pada hari tersebut, mengingat tubuh tidak mendapatkan makanan selama sekitar 10 jam sejakmalam hari. Sarapan pagi bagi anak usia sekolah sangatlah penting karena anak membutuhkan energi dan kalori yang cukup besar. Anak yang tidak sarapan pagi akan mengalami kekosongan lambung sehingga kadar gula akan menurun, dalam keadaan demikian anak akan sulit untuk dapat menerima pelajaran dengan baik. Penelitian ini untukmengetahui hubungan antara sarapan pagi dengan prestasi akademik anak SD kelas IV – VI di SD Negeri Jatipulo 01.METODEPenelitian ini merupakan studi analitik menggunakan pendekatan cross–sectional dengan mengikutsertakan 123 murid kelas IV-VI SD Negeri 01 Jatipulo Pagi. Data dikumpulkan dengan wawancara menggunakan kuesioner berisikan pendidikan ibu, status ekonimi keluarga, pengetahuan ibu terhadap gizi, kebiasaan sarapan pagi anakdan melihat nilai rata-rata raport anak.Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakananalisis chi-square dengan tingkat kemaknaan yang digunakan sebesar 0,05.HASILAnalisis univariatantara kebiasaan sarapan pagi, pendidikan formal terakhir ibu, pengetahuan ibu terhadap gizi dan status ekonomi keluarga dengan prestasi akademik anak masing-masing menunjukan nilai P = 0.00, sehingga disimpulkan terdapatnya hubungan antara kebiasaan sarapan pagi, pendidikan formal terakhir ibu, pengetahuan ibu terhadap gizi dan status ekonomi keluarga dengan prestasi akademik anak.KESIMPULANPenelitian ini menunjukan adanya hubungan bermakna antara kebiasaan sarapan pagi anak kelas IV – VI di SD Negeri 01 Jatipulo Pagi, pendidikan formal terakhir ibu, pengetahuan ibu terhadap gizi dan status ekonomi keluarga dengan prestasi akademik anak.
B reakfast is an important activity before doing physical activities for the day, since the body does not get food intake for about 10 hours since the last evening. Breakfast for children in the school age is very important because children requires large amount of energiesand calories. Children who skip breakfast will experience the gaster emptiness so the sugar levels will decrease. In such circumstances, the children will be difficult to accept the lesson well. The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between breakfast and academic achievement of fourth to sixth grade children of Jatipulo 01 Elementary School.METHODThis study was an analytic studies using cross-sectional approach to find the correlation between breakfast and academic achievement of fourth to sixth grade children of Jatipulo 01 Elementary School. Datas were collected by conducting interview using questionnaires that included breakfast habits, mother's last formal education, mother's nutritional knowledge, economic status of the family and children's academic achievement. Data analysis was performe d using chi-square analysis with a significance level of 0.05.RESULTSUnivariate analysis between breakfast habits, mother's last formal education, mother's nutritional knowledge and economic status of families with children's academic achievement, respectively showed P = 0.00 where the value of P<0.05, it could be said that there werecorrelations between breakfast habits, mother's last education, mother's nutritional knowledge and economic status of families with children's academic achievement.CONCLUSIONSThis study showed significant correlations betweenbreakfast habits of fourth to sixthgrade children of Jatipulo 01 Elementary School, mother's last formal education,mother's nutritional knowledge and economic status of the family with children’s academic achievement.
