Perbandingan penggunaan obat kumur selama pandemi covid-19 terhadap perubahan warna resin komposit universal : kajian terhadap obat kumur: Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Hidrogen Peroksida, Cetilpyridinium Chloride, Povidone Iodine, dan Chlorine Dioxide
L atar Belakang: Pandemi COVID-19 mewabahi Indonesia sejak tahun 2019. Selama pandemi COVID-19 kita disarankan menggunakan obat kumur untuk pencegahan. Menurut American Dental Association (ADA) dan Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), obat kumur yang disarankan yaitu chlorhexidine gluconate (CHX), hidrogen peroksida (H2O2), cetilpyridinium chloride (CPC), povidone iodine (PVP-I), dan chlorine dioxide (ClOâ‚‚). Resin komposit universal dirancang untuk mencocokkan kebutuhan setiap warna gigi dengan satu warna komposit (single shade) dan memiliki efek bunglon yang dapat menyamarkan, mengeliminasi, meminimalkan dan menetralkan warna yang tidak sesuai. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui perbandingan penggunaan obat kumur selama pandemi COVID-19 terhadap perubahan warna resin komposit universal. Metode: Penelitian eksperimental laboratorium dengan 30 sampel berukuran 10 mm dan tinggi 2 mm yang dibagi ke dalam 5 kelompok pengujian obat kumur dan 1 kelompok kontrol. Pengujian pH dan warna dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah perendaman di dalam inkubator pada suhu 37oC selama 1 jam. Pengujian warna dilakukan dengan spektrofotometer Vita Easyshade V dan didapatkan ï„E, ï„L, ï„C, dan ï„H dan juga menghasilkan value dengan pembacaan secara Vita Classical dan Vita 3D Master. Hasil: Pembacaan penilaian Vita Classical, Vita 3D Master dan Uji statistik One Way Anova pada ï„E dan ï„L yaitu p<0,05 dan uji Kruskal-Wallis pada ï„C dan ï„H menunjukkan nilai p<0,05 pada kelima kelompok pengujian. Kesimpulan: Kelima kelompok obat kumur menunjukkan tidak terdapat perubahan warna pada pembacaan penilaian secara Vita Classical dan terdapat perubahan warna pada pembacaan penilaian Vita 3DMaster, ΔE, ΔL, ΔC, ΔH terhadap resin komposit universal.
B ackground: COVID-19 Pandemic has plagued Indonesia since 2020. During COVID- 19 Pandemic, it’s recommended to rinse with mouthwash for prevention. The mouthwashes that American Dental Association (ADA) and Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended are chlorhexidine gluconate (CHX), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), cetilpyridinium chloride (CPC), povidone iodine (PVP-I), dan chlorine dioxide (ClOâ‚‚). Universal composite resin is use for every tooth colour requirement and it has a chameleon effect that can disguise, eliminate, minimize and neutralize mismatched colors. Purpose: To know the comparison of mouthwashes comsumption during pandemic COVID-19 on color change of universal composite resin. Method: Experimental laboratory research use 30 sampels of composite resin with size width 10 mmand height 2 mm which were divided into 5 mouthwash testing groups and 1 control group. The pH and color were tested before and after the immersion in the incubator at 37oC for 1 hour. Color test using a Vita Easyshade V spectrophotometer and the data were shown in ï„E, ï„L, ï„C, and ï„H with Vita Classical and Vita 3D Master readings. Result: The reading of the Vita Classical, Vita 3D Master and data were analyzed with One Way Anova on ï„E and ï„L with the significance level p<0.05 and also analyzed with Kruskal-Wallis on ï„C and ï„H with the significance level p<0.05 on 5 test groups. Conclusion: The 5 groups of mouthwashes showed no color change in the Vita Classical assessment readings and there was a color change in the Vita 3D Master, ï„E, ï„L, ï„C, and ï„H assessment of universal composite resin.
