Evaluasi efektivitas penerapan sistem selective dumping terhadap derajat keasamaan air didisposal IDP east 2 elevasi40 dan 50 , pit west/pqrt , lati mine operation, Kabupaten Berau, PT Berau Coal
S alah satu dampak negatif kegiatan penambangan batubara adalah timbulnya Air Asam Tambang (AAT). AAT disebabkan oleh air limpasan hujan yang teroksidasi mineral sulfida sehingga air mempunyai nilai pH, mengandung zat padat tersuspensi (total suspended solid, TSS), zat besi serta mangan dengan konsentrasi yang tinggi. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebagai upaya pengelolaanlingkungan agar kualitas air limpasan sesuai baku mutu lingkungan yang telah ditetapkan oleh PERDA kaltim No.2 Tahun 2011 (parameter pH, TSS, Fe dan Mn). Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh hasil uji laboratorium sampel air limpasan disposal selective dumping, disposal PAF, dan disposal NAF, di dapatkan hasil pH rata-rata yang di dapat disposal PAF 3.3, Disposal selective dumping 4.3, disposal NAF 6.5. Untuk hasil pengujian TSS didapatkan untuk disposal selective dumping rata-rata sebesar 36.7 (Mg/L), disposal PAF sebesar 32.9 (Mg/L), dan disposal NAF sebesar27.0 (Mg/L) untuk hasil pengujian Al didapatkan untuk disposal selective dumping rata-rata sebesar 2.0 Al (Mg/L), disposal PAF 2.6 Al (Mg/L), disposal NAF 0.3 Al(Mg/L). Hasil pengujian Fe didapatkan untuk disposal selective dumping rata-rata sebesar 1.6 Fe (Mg/L), disposal PAF 4.7 Fe (Mg/L), disposal NAF 0.6 Fe (Mg/L). Hasil pengujian Mn didapatkan untuk disposal selective dumping rata-rata 0 sebesar14.9 Mn (Mg/L), disposal PAF 24.6 Mn (Mg/L), disposal NAF 12.7 Mn (Mg/L).Hasil pengujian TDS didapatkan untuk disposal selective dumping rata-rata sebesar2498.4 (ppm), disposal PAF 2585.7 (ppm), disposal NAF 2420.3 (ppm).Berdasarkan hasil uji lab didapatkan karakteristik air limpasan disposal selectivedumping memiliki karakter air yang masih bersifat asam. Dapat dilihat pada hasiluji lab yang menunjukan pH air rata-rata mencapai 4.3. Perlu adanya penanganan lebih lanjut yaitu dengan membuat zona basa tanah dimana pada setiap puritan yang berada pada disposal selective dumping diberi penanganan berupa pemberian geomembrane dan batu kapur gamping agar air yang melimpas dapat memberikan hasil pH yang baku mutu.
O ne of the negative impacts of coal mining activities is the emergence of Acid Mining Water (AAT). For TSS test results obtained for an average selective dumping disposal of 36.7 (Mg/L), PAF disposal of 32.9, and NAF disposal of 27.0 for the results of AL testing obtained for an average selective dumping disposal of 2.0 Al (Mg / L), PAF 2.6 Al disposal (Mg /L), NAF 0.3 Al disposal (Mg / L). Fe test results obtained for an average selective dumping disposal of 1.6 Fe (Mg / L), PAF disposal 4.7 Fe (Mg / L), NAF 0.6 Fedisposal (Mg / L). Mn test results are obtained for an average selective dumping of14.9 Mn (Mg / L), PAF 24.6 Mn disposal (Mg / L), NAF 12.7 Mn disposal (Mg / L).The results of the TDS test were obtained for an average selective dumping disposalof 2498.4 (ppm), PAF 2585.7 (ppm) disposal, NAF disposal 2420.3 (ppm).Based on the results of the lab test, the water characteristics of selective dumpingdisposal runoff have the character of water that is still acidic. Can be seen in theresults of the lab test which shows the average water pH reaches 4.3. Furtherhandling is needed, namely by creating a base zone of land in which each puritanat a selective dumping disposal is given treatment in the form of giving geomembrane and limestone to ensure that the overflow water can provide a quality standard pH.
