Hubungan antara kadar gula darah sewaktu dengan derajat depresi pada pasien diabetes melitus
D epresi adalah gangguan mental emosional dengan berbagai gejalanya yang dapat memberikan dampak pada kesehatan fisik. Banyak fakor yang berperan sebagai pencetus depresi. Kondisi kesehatan seperti kadar gula darah dapat mempengaruhi kesehatan mental. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai hubungan antara kadar gula darah sewaktu dengan derajat depresi pada pasien Diabetes Melitus. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Cross Sectional dan dilakukan pada subjek penelitian penderita DM yang berobat jalan di Rumah Sakit Angkatan Laut Dr. Mintohardjo, Bendungan Hilir, Jakarta Pusat. Penilaian terhadap depresi menggunakan kuesioner Hamilton Depression Rating Scale. Pemeriksaan kadar gula darah sewaktu dengan cara pengambilan sampel darah kapiler yang diukur dengan gluko meter digital. Distribusi derajat depresi didapatkan sejumlah 31 (34,1%) subjek penelitian tergolong depresi ringan dan 14 (15,4%) subjek penelitian tergolong depresi berat, sedangkan sebanyak 46 (50,5%) subjek penelitian tergolong tidak depresi (normal). Distribusi kadar gula darah sewaktu didapatkan sejumlah 45 (49,5%) subjek penelitian memiliki kadar gula darah normal dan sejumlah 46 (50,5%) subjek penelitian memiliki kadar gula darah sewaktu tinggi. Disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara kadar gula darah sewaktu dengan derajat depresi pada pasien DM. Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara kadar gula darah sewaktu dengan derajat depresi pada pasien diabetes melitus.
D epression is a mental emotional disorder with a variety of symptoms that can have an impact on physical health. Many factors act as triggers for depression. Health conditions such as blood sugar levels can affect mental health. This study aims to assess the relationship between blood sugar levels and the degree of depression in diabetes mellitus patients. This study used a cross sectional design and was carried out on research subjects with outpatient DM patients at Navy Hospital Dr. Mintohardjo, Bendungan Hilir, Central Jakarta. Assessment of depression using the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale questionnaire. Examination of blood sugar levels is done by taking capillary blood samples as measured by digital glucose meter. The distribution of depression degrees was 31 (34.1%), the subjects were classified as mild depression and 14 (15.4%) subjects were classified as severe depression, while 46 (50.5%) subjects were classified as non-depressed (normal). Distribution of blood sugar levels when obtained a number of 45 (49.5%) research subjects had normal blood sugar levels and a number of 46 (50.5%) research subjects had high blood sugar levels. It was concluded that there was a significant relationship between blood sugar levels and the degree of depression in DM patients. There is a significant relationship between blood sugar levels and the degree of depression in patients with diabetes mellitus.
