Pengaruh jenis dan komposisi polimer X terhadap peningkatan kualitas batubara di PT Citra Tobindo Sukses Perkasa, kabupaten Sarolangun, Jambi
K ualitas batubara yang rendah di Indonesia salah satunya disebabkan olehtingginya kadar air yang terdapat di dalam batubara tersebut. Semakin tinggikandungan air dalam batubara, maka akan semakin menurunkan kualitas batubara.Sifat polimer yang sintetis diharapkan dapat menyerap air serta dapat melindungibatubara dari pengaruh penambahan kandungan air dari luar selama prosestambang hingga penjualan, sehingga kandungan air pada batubara tidakbertambah saat proses tersebut berlangsung.Setelah dilakukan penelitian dengan menggunakan variasi konsentrasi10%, 20%, dan 30% dengan variasi waktu kontak 2 jam, 24 jam, 48 jam, dan 72jam, serta menggunakan dua ukuran batubara, yaitu 5 cm dan 7 cm, didapatpenurunan kadar air total batubara dan peningkatan kalori batubara. Penurunankadar air total terbesar dialami pada batubara berukuran 5 cm setelah disemprotpolimer berkonsentrasi 10% dan batubara berukuran 7 cm setelah disemprotpolimer berkonsentrasi 20%.Kedua ukuran batubara ini mengalami penurunan kadar air total pada saatwaktu kontak selama 72 jam, penurunan kadar air total sebesar 36,31% dan34,70%. Peningkatan nilai kalori batubara juga dialami oleh kedua ukuranbatubara pada waktu kontak 72 jam, yaitu sebesar 913 cal/gr dan 887 cal/gr.Apabila waktu kontak di-ekstrapolasi hingga batas kadar air lembab, didapatwaktu kontak batubara berukuran 5 cm selama 102 jam dan batubara berukuran 7cm selama 111 jam dan didapat nilai kalori batubara berukuran 5 cm sebesar 6200cal/gr dan batubara berukuran 7 cm sebesar 6280 cal/gr. Apabila waktu kontakdihitung menggunakan rumus gradient didapat waktu kontak batubara berukuran5 cm selama 103,7 jam dan batubara berukuran 7 cm selama 114,7 jam denganperolehan nilai kalori batubara berukuran 5 cm sebesar 6179,3 cal/gr dan batubaraberukuran 7 cm sebesar 6289,7 cal/gr.
L ow-quality coal in Indonesia one of them was caused by the high levelsof water contained in the coal. The higher of moisture content in coal willdecrease the quality of coal. Synthetic properties of polymeric are expected toabsorb water and protect coal from the effect of the addition of moisture contentfrom the outside during the mining process to selling process, so that the moisturecontent in coal does not increase during the process.After doing research by using variation of concentration of 10%, 20%, and30% with a variation of contact time of 2 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours, and 72 hoursand using two size of coal, which are 5 cm and 7 cm, resulting in a decreased intotal moisture content and increased in calorific value of coal. The biggestdecrease in total moisture content was observed in 5cm of coal after spraying 10%concentrated polymer and 7cm of coal after spraying 20% concentrated polymer.Both of these coal sizes was decrease in total moisture content during thecontact time at 72 hours, they were 36.31% and 34.70% of moisture content. Theincrease in calorific value of coal was also occurred to both of these coal sizes at72 hours of contact time, they were 913 cal/gr and 887 cal/gr. When the contacttime being extrapolated to the limit of inherent moisture, coal contact time ismeasured 5 cm for 102 hours and coal is 7 cm for 111 hours and obtained thecalorific value of coal sized 5 cm amount of 6200 cal/gr and coal sized 7 cmamount of 6280 cal/gr. When the contact time calculated using gradient formulaobtained contact time of coal sized 5 cm for 103.7 hours and coal sized 7 cm for114.7 hours with calorific value of coal sized 5 amoount of 6179.3 cal/gr and coalsized 7 cm amount of 6289.7 cal/gr.
