I n accordance with the times, vegetarian diet more and more in the world, including in Indonesia. Food intake on a vegetarian diet carries the risk of deficiencies of several nutrients, including macronutrients such as proteins and micronutrients such as Fe, folic acid, and vitamin B12. In fact, a healthy intake of nutrients needed for the process of formation of hemoglobin in the blood. One of the kinetic approaches to cause anemia is reduced erythrocyte production due to deficiency of the substance. So this study aims to determine the relationship between intake of micronutrients (Fe, folic acid, vitamin B12) with hemoglobin levels in the vegetarian community. This research is an observational analytic (non experimental) research with cross sectional approach. The number of 88 subjects was selected by simple random sampling of all members of the vegan vegan community that met the inclusion criteria. Micronutrient intake data obtained by using food record 3x24 hours. Hemoglobin levels were measured by QuickCheck Hb Portable Testing System in capillary blood, which was taken with a finger prick test. Analysis of micronutrient intake using Nutri survey 2004 and analysis and other data processing using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) Version 20 for Windows 8.0 with significance level p <0.05. From the results of the study on 88 subjects, Chi-square analysis showed there was a correlation between Fe intake with hemoglobin (p = 0,018), while Fisher analysis and Pearson analysis showed no correlation between folic acid intake (p = 1,000), vitamin B12 intake p = 0.901) with hemoglobin levels. There was a significant relationship between Fe intake and hemoglobin levels in the vegetarian community.
