Perancangan alat bantu perpindahan rail transfer cart pada area mesin stacker ke area break up di PT.Bakrie Building Industries
P ada PT Bakrie Building Industries, proses perpindahan produk Harflex Mini 105 dari area mesin stacker ke area break up masih manual menggunakan lori, sehingga menyebabkan berhentinya proses perpindahan, dikarenakan operator mendorong material handling lori dengan berat 4 ton sejauh 30 meter. Berhentinya proses perpindahan juga menyebabkan berhentinya proses produksi sehingga target produksi menurun dari 3800 unit/shift menjadi 2100 unit/shift. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendesain ulang (redesign) material handling dengan pendekatan otomasi untuk meningkatkan target produksi, target perpindahan serta menghilangkan beban kerja operator. Dalam proses perancangan ulang material handling ini dilakukan screening concept dan scoring concept. Pemilihan konsep usulan dipilih berdasarkan bobot tertinggi. Konsep usulan yang terpilih adalah alat bantu perpindahan Rail Transfer Cart dengan motor listrik sebagai aktuator, programmable logic control sebagai kontroler dan sensor load cell dan stopper sebagai sensor. Hasil dari penelitian ini meningkatkan waktu perpindahan menjadi 530 detik sehingga mengalami kenaikan sebesar 55.71%. Selain itu target produksi dan perpindahan meningkatkan sebesar 4757 unit.
A t PT. Bakrie Building Industries, the transfer process of Harflex Mini 105 from the stacker machine to the break up area is still transported by trucks manually which causes the transfer process to cease due to the operator pushed the material handling of the trucks with a weight of 4 tons as far as 30 meters. The production target has decreased from 3.100 units/shift to 2.100 units/shift which caused by the cessation of the transfer process which also caused the cessation of the production process. This study aims to redesign material handling with an automation approach to increase production targets and displacement targets. In the process of redesigning of the material handling, screening concepts and scoring concepts are carried out. The drafting of the proposed concept was chosen by the highest weight. The proposed concept chosen was a tool for transfering Rail Transfer Cart with an electric motor as an acuator, Programmable Logic Control as a controller and a load cell and a stopper as a sensor. The results of this research indicate the tranfer process time decreased to 530 secs so that increased by 55.71% and increased the transfer target by 4.757 units.
