D Diabetes mellitus (DM) is often found in developing countries, one of them in Indonesia. One of the blood glucose examinations in DM patients is standardized HbA1c examination according to The Diabetes Controland Complication Trial (DCCT). HbA1c levels indicate glucose levels in the hemoglobin of the patient, so high levels of HbA1c are usually accompanied by increasingly clear clinical symptoms of DM, one of which is polyuria. Poliuria can affect several things, one of which is the patient's sleep quality. This study aimed to determine the relationship between HBA1c levels and sleep quality in type 2 DM patients. This study was an observational analytic study with a cross sectional approach. The sample of this study was taken by the consecutive-random sampling technique which amounted to 44 respondents. Respondents' data were obtained through interviews filling the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire and taking HbA1c data from medical records. Analysis of data processed with the SPSS version 23 program was carried out in univariate and bivariate methods using Fisher statistics. This study was followed by 44 people with type 2 DM patients who had HBA1c levels. Based on the statistical results obtained p is 0.075 where p> 0.05, so there is no relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable. This study showed no association between HbA1c levels and sleep quality in type 2 DM patients.
