Analisis fasies dan paleogeografi menggunakan sikuen stratigrafi dan seismik fasies formasi tarakan lapangan Pong Kalimantan Utara
S ecara fisiografi Cekungan Tarakan terletak di Kalimantan Timur dan dibatasi tinggian Kuching di bagian barat, tinggian Samporna di utara, selat Makassar di bagian timur, dan tinggian Mangkalihat di bagian selatan. Penelitian menggunakan pendeketan metode sikuen stratigrafi dan seismik fasies. Data yangdigunakan dalam penelitian adalah 2 data sumur, 9 lintasan seismik, dan datapenunjang yaitu data deskripsi sidewall core dan mudlog. Penelitian dilakukandengan menggabungkan hasil analisis sikuen stratigrafi dan fasies di data sumurdan seismik yang kemudian disajikan dalam bentuk peta paleogeografi. Analisisfasies dan lingkungan pengendapan pada data sumur dan seismik menghasilkankesimpulan bahwa daerah penelitian memiliki asosiasi fasies prodelta shale, deltaplain shale, distributary bay shale, distributary mouth bar, dan distributarychannel sand. Arah pengendapan sikuen penelitian membentang dari Baratlaut –Tenggara. Dari hasil integrasi peta sintesis ABC dan analisis elektrofasies yangdijadikan peta paleogeografi dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa lingkunganpengendapan daerah penelitian adalah delta dan fase regresif dan polapengendapan progradasi secara dominan.
L ocation wise, Tarakan Basin is located in East Kalimantan and boundedby Kuching high in the West, Samporna High in the North, Makassar Strait in theEast, and Mangkalihat high in the South. The approach used in this research aresequence stratigraphy and seismic facies. The data used in this research arefollows, 2 well data, 9 seismic lines, sidewall core descriptions, and mudlog. Theresearch is done by combining sequence stratigraphy and seismic facies analysison the well and seismic lines, which then is presented as a paleogeography mapAnalysis of sequence stratigraphy and seismic facies in this research shows thatthe facies associations in the area consists of prodelta shale, delta plain shale,mouthbar, distributary bay shale, distributary mouth bar, distributary channelsand. The orientation of deposition ranges from Northwest to Southeast.Integration of ABC synthesis map and electrofacies analysis shows a deltaicdepositional setting and a regressive phase sequence and also a progradationdepositional pattern.
