P enelitian ini berada pada daerah PLTMH Karekan, Kabupaten Banjarnegara, Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Yang bertujuan untuk menentukan kestabilan lereng. Oleh karena itu, mengetahui dan menyajikan data geologi dan geologi teknik, sifat fisik tanah dan mekanika tanah, serta faktor keamanan lereng pada daerah penelitian sangat penting. Uji mekanika tanah dilakukan uji geser langsung untuk mendapatkan nilai kohesi, sudut geser dalam, dan derajat tingkat pelapukan menurut klasifikasi CRIEPI, 2004. Dari hasil analisa sifat fisik tanah, didapatkan nilai berat isi tanah sebesar 19,123 kN/m3- 19,417 kN/m3, kadar air sebesar 28,6%-33,5%, batas cair 31,1%-54,3%, indek plastisitas sebesar 13,5%-21,8%. Analisa kuat geser tanah dengan nilai kohesi sebesar 13,23 kPa-16,67 kPa, dan sudut geser dalam sebesar 38,90°- 47,20°. Menurut hasil uji yang dilakukan kestabilan lereng pada daerah penelitian tergolong kedalam kategori stabil atau aman, nilai-nilai FK dari setiap lerengnya adalah, nilai FK pertama =1.950, maka kondisi zona kerentanan gerakan tanah rendah (SNI 8291:2016), FK kedua =1.479 maka kondisi zona kerentanan gerakan tanah menengah (SNI 8291:2016) dan terakhir nilai FK=1.542, maka kondisi zona kerentanan gerakan tanah menengah (SNI 8291:2016). Maka lokasi tersebut masuk kedalam kategori stabil atau aman.

From the results of the nature analysis of physical soil, the weight value of soil contents is 19,123 kN / m 3-19,417 kN / m 3, water content is 28.6% -33.5%, liquid limit is 31.1% -54.3%, index plasticity of 13.5% -21.8%. Analysis of soil shear strength with cohesion values amounting to 13.23 kPa - 16.67Kpa, and a sliding angle of 38.90°-47.20°. According to the results of tests conducted on slope stability in the study area classified into a stable or safe category, FK values from each the slope is, the first FK=1,950 then the vulnerability zone condition low ground movement (SNI 8291: 2016), second FK = 1,479 then zone conditions vulnerability of intermediate ground movements (SNI 8291: 2016) and finally values FK = 1,542, then the condition of the vulnerability zone of the middle ground movement (SNI 8291: 2016).
