Pengaruh waktu penyimpanan terhadap kestabilan dimensi bahan cetak Alginat dalam Seal Bag (Laporan Penelitian)
A lginat merupakan bahan cetak hidrokoloid irreversibel yang kestabilan dimensinya dipengaruhi oleh proses sineresis dan imbibisi selama penundaan pengecoran. Komposisi alginat dengan kestabilan dimensi baik terus dikembangkan, sehingga penelitian ini dilakukan untuk membandingkan kestabilan dimensi alginat ImprESSIX Color Change (alginat A), Algeniux Normal Set Major (alginat B), dan Aroma Fine Plus Normal Set (alginat C) dengan penyimpanan dalam seal bag selama 0 menit, 10 menit, 3 jam, 24 jam, 72 jam, 120 jam, 168 jam. Sebanyak 63 spesimen model gipsum dihasilkan dari master die dengan ketiga alginat. Hasil cetakan disimpan dalam seal bag selama ketujuh kelompok waktu, kemudian dilakukan pengecoran dengan dental stone. Tiap spesimen model gipsum diukur jarak cusp bukal M1 kanan ke M1 kiri menggunakan jangka sorong. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji ANOVA dua jalan dan satu jalan, diikuti uji Post Hoc LSD. Seluruh model moldano mengalami penyusutan dari master die selama penyimpanan dalam seal bag. Jarak cusp bukal M1 kanan ke cusp bukal M1 kiri master die adalah 52,28 mm. Perbedaan bermakna kestabilan dimensi hanya terjadi pada alginat C (p=0,05), pada waktu 120 jam dan 168 jam. Pada waktu 120 jam, rerata model gipsum alginat A (52,191±0,1020), alginat B (52,170±0,0748), alginat C (52,080±0,1151). Pada waktu 168 jam, rerata model gipsum alginat A (52,175±0,1020), alginat B (52,157±0,0748), alginat C (52,057±0,1151). Kestabilan dimensi hasil cetakan alginat dipengaruhi oleh komposisi alginat dan waktu penyimpanan hasil cetakan. Penggunaan seal bag dapat mempertahankan kestabilan dimensi alginat A dan B hingga 168 jam, sedangkan alginat C hanya dapat dipertahankan hingga 72 jam.
A lginate is an irreversible hydrocolloid impression which is not dimensionally stable due to syneresis and imbibition that exist before pouring the cast. Some manufacturers have been developing more dimensionally stable alginate, therefore the dimensional stability of ImprESSIX Color Change (alginate A), Algeniux Normal Set Major (alginate B), dan Aroma Fine Plus Normal Set (alginate C) were compared in this study with seal bag storage for 0 minute, 10 minutes, 3 hours, 24 hours, 72 hours, 120 hours, and 168 hours. In this study, a total of 63 alginate impressions were made from master die using the three alginate. The impressions were stored in seal bags for those periods of time, then poured with moldano. Crossarch (buccal cusp first molar to buccal cusp first molar on the opposite side) measurements were made with caliper on the casts. Data were analyzed by two-way and one-way ANOVA, followed by Post-Hoc LSD Test. Shrinkage of cross-arch measurements were occurred in all specimens. The cross-arch measurement of the master die was 52.28 mm. Statistically significant difference was only found in alginate C (p=0.05) on 120 hours and 168 hours storage. Within 120 hours of storage, the cross-arch mean measurement of alginate A (52.191±0.1020), alginate B (52.170±0.0748), alginate C (52.080±0.1151). Within 168 hours of storage, the cross-arch mean measurement of alginate A (52.175±0.1020), alginate B (52.157±0.0748), alginate C (52.057±0.1151). Composition and pouring time influenced the dimensional stability of alginate impression. With seal bag storage, alginate A and B are dimensionally stable for 168 hours, however alginate C is dimensionally stable only for 72 hours.
