T The maternal mortality rate in Indonesia is still much higher than other Southeast Asian countries. Direct causes of maternal death include bleeding, eclampsia, abortion, infection, prolonged labor, and others. Efforts to reduce the Maternal Mortality Rate are urgently needed for quality Antenatal Care (ANC) services according to Government policy standards, ie at least 4 times during pregnancy. This study aims to determine the relationship between antenatal care adherence and maternal rates in pregnant women. The study was conducted in May - July 2017. Samples were selected by consecutive non-probability sampling method totaling 226 respondents conducted by Indramayu Regional General Hospital in West Java province. The study used observational analytic studies with cross-sectional research design. Data collection was carried out using secondary data (medical records). To see the relationship between ANC compliance and mortality, Chi-square test was used. The significance limit used is p <0.05. This study shows the mortality rate of pregnant women as many as 55 cases (24.3%), and doing ANC <4 times as much as 132 (58.4%). The results of the analysis test stated that there was no statistically significant relationship (p = 0.783). This study shows that there is no relationship between ANC compliance with maternal mortality rates.
