Pengaruh partikulat dan NO2 PT. Krakatau Steel terhadap kualitas udara ambien
P PT. Krakatau Steel (PT.KS) merupakan produsen baja yang terbesar di Asia Tenggara Dalam melakukan proses produksinya PT.. KS mengeluarkan basil samping berupa limbah yaitu limbah padat , cair, dan gas. Limbah gas seperti partikulat dan N02 dapat membahayakan makhluk hidup dan menurunkan kualitas lingkungan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pemantauan lingkungan dengan cara pengukuran konsentrasi partikulat dan N02•Menurut Dr. Kardono (2002) paparan partikulat berbahaya bagi kesehatan manusia seperti gangguan pemapasan, bronkitis, hahkan kematian, begitu juga paparan N02 dapat menyebabkan membengkaknya kulit paru - paru , hilangnya fibrasi tenggorokan dan kematian.Pengukuran konsentrasi partikulat dengan menggunak:an alat High VolumeSampler (HVS) selama satu jam, sedangkan pengukuran konsentrasi N02 dengan menggunakan tabung impinger selama satu jam.Hasil pengukuran partikulat di lima titik sampling di kawasan indusbi adalah 3.3µg/m3, 14.8µg/m3,14.8 µg/m3,6.6 µg/m3,dan6.6 µg/m3, di perkotaan23.14µg/m3,l9.13µg/m3,30.27µg/m3,20.82µg/m3,dan 20.12µg/m3 dan dipedesaan sebagai titik kontrol adalah I. 72µg/m3. Hasil pengukuran N02 di lima titik sampling di kawasan industri adalah LS µg/m3,l6.8 µg/m3>3.4 µglm3,2.8µ.glm3,dan 9.5 µ.g/m3, di perkotaan 14..85. µg/m3,12.23 µg/m3,14.68 µ.g/m3,12.05µg/m3,dan 12.01 µg/m3 dan dipedesaan sebagai titik kontrol adalah 0.83 µg/m3,Seluruh basil pengukuran baik partikulat maupun N(h berada dibawah baku mutu Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 41 Tahun 1999 yaitu untuk partikulat230µglm3 dan untuk N~ 400µg/m3, hal ini berarti bahwa PT. KS telah berupaya untuk .menekan seminimal mungkin dampak negatif dan mengembangkan semaksimal mungkin dampak positif. Sebaiknya dilakukan pemantauan Iingkungan secara berkala dan efektif baik di dalam kawasan ataupun diluar kawasan.

Gaseous waste such as particulate and N02 which can endanger Jiving creatures and degrade environmental quality. Therefore, it is necessary to monitor environment by measuring particulate and N02 concentration.According Dr. Kardono (2002), the exposure of particulate endanger human being, such as respiration, bronchitis, and even mortality. N02 am make the lungs swell, lack of vibration oft throat and even mortality.The particulate is measured by using High Volume Sampler (HVS) for on hour while the N~ is measured using impinger tube for an hour.The result of the particulate measurement in the sampling points in industrial estate are is 3.3 µg/m3 , 14.8 µg/m3, 14.8µg/m3, 6.6µg/m3, and 6.6µg/m3, in the urban area 23.14µg/m3, 19.13µg/m3, 30.27µg/m3, 20.82µg/m3• and 20.12µg/m3• And in the rural area, the control points are l. 72µg/m3• The result of N{).z in the five sampling points in the industrial estate are is: l.8µg/m3, 18.8µg/m3, 3.4µg/m3,28µg/m3 9.5µg/m3, in the urban area 14.85µg/m3, 12.23µg/m3 • 14.68µg/m3,12.05µg/m3 and 12.0lµg/m3.And in the rural area, the control points is 8.83µg/m3•All of the measurement result of parculate and N~ are under standard quality of the government regulation Standard Quality No.41 of 1999, that is, for particulate = 230µg/m3 and for N02 = 400µg/m3. This mean that PT. KS has made aneffort to minimize the negative impact and maximize the positive impact. It issuggested to monitor the environment periodically and effectively both inside of industrial estate area and outside of the industrial estate area
