L Latar Belakang: Meningkatkan keberhasilan perawatan saluran akar denganpengisian saluran akar dan kerapatan apikal yang adekuat. Tujuan: menentukanperbedaan metode pengeringan saluran akar dan jenis obturasi monoblock terhadapkebocoran apikal. Metode: Sampel penelitian 24 premolar rahang bawah denganpreparasi saluran akar menggunakan file rotari Protaper Next hingga file #25/.06dan teknik obturasi secondary monoblock menggunakan gutta percha standar#25/.06 dan obturasi tertiary monoblock menggunakan resin coated gutta percha#25/.06 dan siler AH plus. Pengeringan saluran akar menggunakan paper point steril#25/.06 dan larutan isopropyl alcohol 70%. Kerapatan apikal mengukur jarakpenetrasi methylene blue 1% menggunakan stereomicroskop. Hasil: Metodepengeringan antara paper point dan isopropyl alcohol tidak menunjukkan perbedaanbermakna (p>0,05). Hasil uji ANOVA dua jalan antara teknik obturasi secondarydan tertiary monoblock menunjukkan perbedaan bermakna (p<0,05). Beda reratakebocoran apikal menggunakan secondary monoblock dan tertiary monoblocksebesar 0,183. Kebocoran apikal dari kelompok pengeringan paper point dansecondary monoblock 0.533 ± 0.197, lebih besar dari rata - rata kelompok isopropylalcohol dan tertiary monoblock 0.217 ± 0.117. Hasil uji Tuckey Post Hoc testmenunjukkan kebocoran apikal dari kelompok secondary monoblock lebih besardari kelompok tertiary monoblock. Kesimpulan: Metode pengeringan yangmenggunakan larutan isopropyl alcohol dengan teknik tertiary monoblock denganresin coated gutta percha dan siler berbasis resin mempunyai nilai kerapatan apikalyang lebih baik daripada metode pengeringan paper point dan teknik secondarymonoblock.

B Background: Increase the success of root canal treatment with adequate root canalfilling and apical density. Objective: to determine the different effect of root canaldrying method and type of monoblock obturation on apical leakage. Methods: 24mandibular premolar with root canal preparation using rotary file Protaper Nextup to #25/.06 and secondary monoblock obturation technique using resin coatedgutta percha #25/.06 and AH plus sealer. Drying the the root canal using sterilepaper point #25/.06 and 70% isopropyl alcohol solution. Apical density measuredthe penetration distance of 1 % methylene blue using a stereomicroscope. Result:The dring method between paper point and isopropyl alcohol showed no significantdifference (p>0,05). The results of two way ANOVA test between secondary andtertiary monoblock obturation techniques showed a significant difference (p<0.05).The average difference between apical leakage using secondary monoblock andtertiary monoblock is 0,183. The apical leakage of the paper point drying group andsecondary monoblock was 0,533 ± 0,197 higher than the mean of the isopropylalcohol and tertiary monoblock groups of 0,217 ± 0,117. The results of the TuckeyPost Hoc test showed the apical leakage of the secondary monoblock group higherthan tertiary monoblock group. Conclusion: The drying method using isopropylalcohol solution with the tertiary monoblock technique and resin coated guttapercha and resin based sealer has a better apical density value than the perviousmethod paper point drying and secondary monoblock technique.
