Gambaran persepsi mahasiswa klinik tentang kesulitan dalam pengerjaan gigi tiruan jembatan: Kajian terhadap mahasiswa klinik fakultas kedokteran gigi universitas trisakti
L atar Belakang: Kesulitan merupakan suatu kondisi ketidakmampuan seseorang dalam mengerjakan sesuatu yang ditandai dengan adanya berbagai hambatan dalam menyelesaikan suatu hal. Persepsi mahasiswa mengenai gambaran kesulitan dalam tahap preparasi gigi tiruan jembatan yang mencakup kesulitan teknis, kompleksitas prosedur, tuntutan keterampilan, dan faktor-faktor lain yang memengaruhi kemampuan mereka dalam melaksanakan prosedur preparasi GTJ. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui gambaran persepsi mahasiswa klinik Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi Universitas Trisakti tentang kesulitan dalam pengerjaan prosedur preparasi gigi tiruan jembatan dan tahapan preprasi yang dianggap tersulit dan termudah. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini yaitu observasional deskriptif dengan rancangan metode potong silang menggunakan dua domain kuesioner dengan jumlah total 22 pertanyaan Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan tingkatan kesulitan yang berbeda dan juga mendapatkan 3 tahapan tersulit diantaranya “reduksi bagian proksimalâ€, “pembuatan akhiran servikal†dan tahap “reduksi insisal/oklusalâ€, sedangkan 3 tahapan termudah yaitu “memilih bur untuk preparasiâ€, “menentukan guiding groove†dan “finishingâ€. Kesimpulan: Disimpulkan tingkatan kesulitan tahapan preparasi gigi tiruan jembatan berbeda bergantung dengan faktor tertentu seperti letak dan posisi gigi penyangga yang dikerjakan.
B ackground: Difficulty is a condition of a person's inability to do something which is characterized by various obstacles to achieve something. Clinical dental student’s perceptions regarding the description of difficulties in the preparation stage of dental bridge which include technical difficulties, procedural complexity, skill demands, and other factors that influence their ability to carry out dental bridge preparation procedures. Objective: To describe the difficulties perception of clinical students in Faculty of Dentistry of Trisakti University in performing dental bridge preparation procedures and to understand the stages of preparation that are considered the most difficult and the easiest. Method: This type of research is descriptive observational with a cross-sectional method design using two questionnaire domains with a total of 22 questions. Results: Based on the research results, different levels of difficulty were found and there were also 3 most difficult stages including "proximal reduction", "creation of cervical endings" and "incisal/occlusal reduction" stage, while the 3 easiest stages were "choosing a bur for preparation", "determining guiding groove†and “finishingâ€. Conclusion: The level of difficulty in performing dental bridge preparation stages varies depending on certain factors such as the location and position of the supporting teeth.
