P PT. Elangperdana Tyre Industry adalah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang pembuatan ban kendaraan roda empat. Beberapa produknya memiliki Merk Accelera, Zeetex, Forceum, dan Vizzoni. PT. Elangperdana Tyre Industry beroperasi berdasarkan permintaan pelanggan. Demi memenuhi kepuasan pelanggan, perusahaan berusaha memenuhi permintaan dengan tepat. Accelera adalah ban mobil passenger yang paling diminati oleh konsumen. Banyaknya permintaan membuat ban accelera sering mengalami ketidak tercapaiannya target produksi, sehingga konsumen mulai hilang kepercayaan terhadap perusahaan. Manufacturing Lead Time untuk memproduksi 1 unit ban accelera sebesar 47,34 menit. Berdasarkan pengamatan yang dilakukan di lapangan, didapati bahwa proses inspeksi yang dilakukan di stasiun yang berbeda yang dilakukan oleh orang yang berbeda. Inspeksi dalam hal ini adalah pengecekan secara visual dan fisik hasil proses produksi dari satu stasiun. Kegiatan tersebut merupakan salah satu Waste dalam Lean Manufacturing yaitu Transportation dan Overprocessing. Pendekatan Lean Manufacturing digunakan untuk meminimasi pemborosan (waste) sehingga Manufacturing Lead Time dapat berkurang. Value Stream Mapping dan Waste Assesment Model merupakan tools yang digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi pemborosan (waste) yang terdapat di lini produksi. Dari hasil pengamatan dengan menggunakan kedua tools, diidentifikasi waste dominan adalah Transportation (15,69%) dan Overprocessing (15,25%). Untuk mengeliminasi waste Transportation dan Overprocessing diberikan usulan perbaikan berupa Penghilangan Transportasi sebelum melakukan inspeksi, Penggabungan inskpeksi menjadi satu yaitu sebelum proses building dan Perubahan metode kerja painting yang dilakukan pada saat proses curing. Setelah perbaikan, diidentifikasi bahwa Manufacturing Lead Time mengalami penurunan dari 47,34 Menit menjadi 38,729 Menit, dan Process Cycle Efficiency meningkat dari 51% menjadi 62,9%.

P PT. Elangperdana Tire Industry is a company engaged in the manufacture of tires for four-wheeled vehicles. Some of its products have the brands Accelera, Zeetex, Forceum, and Vizzoni. PT. Elangperdana Tire Industry operates based on customer requests. In order to meet customer satisfaction, the company strives to meet demands appropriately. Accelera is the passenger car tire that consumers are most interested in. The high demand for accelera tires often fails to achieve production targets, so that consumers begin to lose confidence in the company. Manufacturing Lead Time to produce 1 unit of Accelera tire is 47.34 minutes. Based on observations made in the field, it was found that the inspection process carried out at different stations was carried out by different people. Inspection in this case is checking visually and physically the results of the production process from one station. This activity is one of the wastes in Lean Manufacturing, namely Transportation and Overprocessing. The Lean Manufacturing approach is used to minimize waste so that Manufacturing Lead Time can be reduced. Value Stream Mapping and Waste Assessment Model are tools used to identify waste in the production line. From the results of observations using both tools, identified dominant waste is Transportation (15.69%) and Overprocessing (15.25%). To eliminate Transportation and Overprocessing waste, a recommendation is given in the form of eliminating transportation before conducting an inspection, merging the inspection into one, namely before the building process and changes to the painting work method carried out during the curing process. After the repair, it was identified that the Manufacturing Lead Time has decreased from 47.34 Minutes to 38.729 Minutes, and the Process Cycle Efficiency has increased from 51% to 62.9%.
