Hubungan antara diabetes mellitus dan penurunan fungsi kognitif pada lansia
L Latar Belakang Salah satu masalah kesehatan yang sering terjadi pada lanjut usia adalahDiabetes Mellitus yang disebabkan karena gangguan metabolisme pada lansia. DiabetesMellitus diduga menjadi faktor menurunnya fungsi kognitif pada lansia. Tujuan penelitian inidilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan Diabetes Mellitus dengan penurunan fungsi kognitifpada lansia.Metode Analisis observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional dengan menggunakanmetode consecutive Non Random Sampling. Sampel berjumlah 89 lansia. Data penelitiandiambil berdasarkan kuesioner dan test MoCA Ina dengan wawancara pada bulan Juni-Juli2019 di Puskesmas Kecamatan Cengkareng. Uji Chi-Square dan Fisher program SPSS versi21.Hasil Sampel adalah golongan usia ≥ 60 tahun sebanyak 89 (100 %), tingkat pendidikan SDsebanyak 34 (38,2 %), Diabetes Mellitus sebanyak 49 (55,1 %), penurunan fungsi kognitifsebanyak 80 (89,9 %) dan fungsi kognitif normal sebanyak 9 (10,1 %). Hasil analisa antaraDiabetes Mellitus dan penurunan fungsi kognitif berdasarkan uji chi-square menunjukantidak terdapat hubungan yang bermakna (P = 0,726). Kesimpulan Penelitian ini menunjukan tidak adanya hubungan antara hubungan Diabetes Mellitus dan penurunan fungsi kognitif pada lansia.
B Background One health problem that often occurs in the elderly is Diabetes Mellitus causedby metabolic disorders in the elderly. Diabetes Mellitus is thought to be a factor in cognitivedecline in the elderly. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of DiabetesMellitus with a decrease in cognitive function in the elderly.Method Observational analysis method with cross sectional approach using Non RandomSampling consecutive method. The sample is 89 elderly. The research data was taken basedon the questionnaire and the MoCA Ina test with interviews in June-July 2019 at theCengkareng District Health Center. Chi-Square Test and Fisher SPSS version 21 program.Result The sample results were age group ≥ 60 years as many as 89 (100%), elementaryeducation level as many as 34 (38.2%), Diabetes Mellitus as many as 49 (55.1%), decreasedcognitive function as much as 80 (89.9%) and normal cognitive function as much as 9(10.1%). The results of the analysis between Diabetes Mellitus and decreased cognitivefunction based on the chi-square test showed no significant relationship (P = 0.726).Conclusion This study shows no association between the relationship of Diabetes Mellitusand decreased cognitive function in the elderly.
