Abstract

M Menurut Undang-Undang Pendidikan Kedokteran Nomor 20 Tahun 2013 Pasal 7 Ayat 7, program profesi dokter dan dokter gigi dilanjutkan dengan program Internship. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa kedokteran dan kedokteran gigi Universitas Trisakti mengenai program Internship. Jenis penelitian ini adalah analitik observasional menggunakan desain cross sectional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 100% mahasiswa kedokteran dan kedokteran gigi mengetahui Internship, 28% mahasiswa kedokteran gigi menyatakan perlu dan 72% tidak perlu dilaksanakan Internship bagi dokter gigi, 38% mahasiswa kedokteran gigi menyatakan Internship berguna dan 62% menyatakan tidak berguna bagi dokter gigi, 64% mahasiswa kedokteran gigi menyatakan Internship yang dilaksanakan dokter gigi akan mempengaruhi dan 36% menyatakan tidak mempengaruhi distribusi tenaga kesehatan ke daerah terpencil, 86% mahasiswa kedokteran gigi dan 74% mahasiswa kedokteran menyatakan pengalaman mereka cukup dalam merawat pasien untuk Internship, 12% mahasiswa kedokteran gigi dan 26% mahasiswa kedokteran menyatakan pengalaman mereka belum cukup, 72% mahasiswa kedokteran gigi dan 90% mahasiswa kedokteran menyatakan Internship dapat memberikan pengalaman, 28% mahasiswa kedokteran gigi dan 10% mahasiswa kedokteran menyatakan Internship tidak dapat memberikan pengalaman lebih dalam merawat pasien daripada saat program profesi, 16% mahasiswa kedokteran gigi menyatakan perlu dan 84% tidak perlu disamakan kurikulum 3 semester program profesi dan setahun Internship bagi mahasiswa kedokteran gigi.

A According to the Law No. 20, Year 2013 on Medical Education Article 7 Paragraph 7 states that the profession program for medical doctors and dentists will be followed by Internship program. Thus, this research is conducted to know the perception of students from the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry of Trisakti University on the new Internship program. The results of the survey shows 100% of subjected students know about the internship, 28% of dental students agree to the implemented Internship for dentists and 72% of students disagree, 38% of dental students stated that Internship is useful for dentists while 62% of the students stated Internship is not useful to the dentist, 64% of dental students stated that the internship held by the dentist will affect the distribution of health workers to remote areas while 36% of the students stated that the Internship implemented by dentists would not affect the distribution of health workers to remote areas, 86% of dental students and 74% of medical students stated that their experience in patient care during profession program is enough and 12% of dental students and 26% of medical students stated that their experience in treating patients is not enough for entering Internship, 72% of dental students and 90% of medical students expressed Internship will provide expertise in treating patients more than at the time during professional programs, 28% of dental students and 10% of medical students expressed Internship can not give us experience in treating patients more than at the time of professional programs, 16% of dental students expressed need equated curriculum of three semesters of professional programs and a one-year internship for dental students and 84% of dental students stated do not need equated curriculum three semesters of professional programs and a oneyear internship for dental students.
