P Penurunan kualitas udara saat ini semakin menurun dan ketersediaan bahan bakarsolar semakin menipis. Perlu adanya penggunaan bahan bakar altenatif untukmengurangi ketergantungan minyak solar. Penggunaan bioaditif minyak atsiri padabahan bakar biosolar B30 menjadi salah satu alternatif pilihan. Campuran bioaditifterdiri dari minyak cengkeh, sereh, kayu putih, dan etanol 96%. Hasil karakterisasibahan bakar dengan penambahan bioaditif didapatkan kenaikan nilai densitas0,47% (853 kg/m3), penurunan viskositas 17% dan 29% dengan penambahankomponen etanol, kenaikan terjadi pada nilai kalor 7,3% (2,39 MJ/kg), dan nilaiflash point mengalami kenaikan 12 – 14oC. Karakterisasi bahan bakar denganpenambahan bioaditif didapatkan kenaikan nilai densitas 0,47% (853 kg/m3),penurunan viskositas 17% dan 29% dengan penambahan etanol, kenaikan terjadipada nilai kalor 7,3% (2,39 MJ/kg), dan flash point naik 12 – 14oC. Biodiesel B30dengan campuran bioaditif dilakukan pengujian pada mesin diesel yangdihubungkan dengan generator. Pengujian terhadap emisi gas buang, konsumsibahan bakar, daya, dan putaran mesin. Emisi gas NOx turun 36% dibandingkandengan biodiesel B30, dan gas buang CO mengalami penurunan 1,6%. Emisi gasCO2 mengalami penurunan 15%. Namun gas HC mengalami kenaikan 0,08% halini disebabkan kalor laten yang tinggi pada minyak atsiri. Konsumsi bahan bakarspesifik mengalami penghematan 3% dibandingkan biosolar B30 murni.

Biodiesel B30 with a mixture of bioadditives was tested on a diesel engine connected to a generator. Tests on exhaustemissions, fuel consumption, power, and engine speed. NOx emissions decreasedby 36% compared to biodiesel B30, and CO emissions decreased by 1.6%. CO2gas emissions have decreased by 15%. However, HC gas experienced an increaseof 0.08%, this was due to the high latent heat in essential oils. Specific fuelconsumption has saved 3% compared to pure B30 biodiesel.
