Rancang bangun knowledge management system pada PT. Asmin Bara Bronang
D Dewasa ini, banyak organisasi dan perusahaan membuat strategi perusahaan dengan memperhatikan knowledge sebagai aset perusahaan. Melihat hal ini, industri batubara mengikuti perkembangan teknologi dengan membuat suatu sistem sebagai jembatan penghubung antara Head Office (HO) dengan Site Office (SO) atau Emplacement Tambang dan memperhatikan knowledge yang dimiliki. Sistem yang dapat digunakan sebagai sarana penghubung berbagi data, informasi dan pengetahuan, karena memang salah satu permasalahan yang terjadi pada dunia pertambangan adalah komunikasi dan waktu. Keterbatasan sarana komunikasi dan waktu yang berbeda antara HO dan SO menjadi salah satu faktor penyebab industri batubara membutuhkan sistem tersebut. Untuk menjawab kebutuhan inilah maka dirancang sebuah sistem manajemen pengetahuan atau biasa dikenal knowledge management system (KMS). Perancangan sistem manajemen pengetahuan ini menggunakan metode knowledge engineering narrow perspektive yang dilaksanakan di PT. Asmin Bara Bronang baik di HO Jakarta dan SO Kalimantan Tengah. Metode ini terbagi menjadi 5 proses diantaranya knowledge acquisition, knowledge representation, knowledge validation and verification, interfencing dan explanation and justification. Knowledge acquisition menggunakan metode manual dengan melakukan observasi dan pengumpulan semua dokumentasi kemudian ditanyakan kepada knowledge engineer sehingga dihasilkan basis pengetahuan atau knowledge base yang ada. Setelah mengetahui knowledge base yang dibutuhkan dilakukan knowledge representation yang menunjukkan rancangan awal dari sistem dengan menggunakan metode frame, dimulai dari rancangan sistem komunikasi, rancangan workflow sistem, rancangan menu structure sistem, dan rancangan framework knowledge base. Dari rancangan-rancangan yang ada tersebut dilakukan knowledge validation oleh knowledge engineer apakah rancangan tersebut sudah sesuai. Setelah sesuai dilakukan interfencing atau pembuatan KMS tersebut. Interfencing penelitian ini dengan menggunakan tools teknologi informasi yang berkembang saat ini yang free license/open sources yaitu software Content Management System Drupal. Tahapan explanation and justification dapat dilakukan setelah sistem KMS tersebut sudah diimplementasikan di PT. Asmin Bara Bronang. KMS yang dirancang dan dikembangkan pada PT. ABB terdiri dari menu Learning, Project, Information, Community dan Helpdesk. Sumber-sumber yang dimiliki oleh PT. Asmin Bara Bronang yang dijadikan basis pengetahuan adalah Article, Books, Form, Guidelines, Instruksi Kerja, Journal, Problem-Solving Material, Report, SOP, Training, MoM, Project Update, serta pengalaman dari pegawai yang dijadikan tulisan dan dimasukkan ke dalam KMS.

Seeing this, the coal industry follows technological developments by creating a system as a bridge between the Head Office (HO) and the Site Office (SO) or Mine Emplacement and pays attention to the knowledge possessed. A system that can be used as a means of connecting to share data, information and knowledge, because indeed one of the problems that occur in the mining world is communication and time. The limited means of communication and the different time between HO and SO are one of the factors causing the coal industry to need this system. To answer this need, a knowledge management system or commonly known as a knowledge management system (KMS) was designed. The design of this knowledge management system uses a narrow perspective knowledge engineering method implemented at PT. Asmin Bara Bronang both in HO Jakarta and SO Central Kalimantan. This method is divided into 5 processes including knowledge acquisition, knowledge representation, knowledge validation and verification, interfencing and explanation and justification. Knowledge acquisition uses the manual method by observing and collecting all documentation and then asking the knowledge engineer to produce an existing knowledge base. After knowing the required knowledge base, a knowledge representation is carried out which shows the initial design of the system using the frame method, starting from the design of the communication system, the design of the workflow system, the design of the menu structure of the system, and the design of the knowledge base framework. From the existing designs, knowledge validation was carried out by the knowledge engineer whether the design was appropriate. After appropriate, interfencing or making the KMS is carried out. Interfencing this research using information technology tools that are currently developing which are free license/open sources, namely Drupal Content Management System software. The explanation and justification stage can be done after the KMS system has been implemented at PT. Asmin Bara Bronang. KMS designed and developed at PT. ABB consists of the Learning, Project, Information, Community and Helpdesk menus. The sources owned by PT. Asmin Bara Bronang used as a knowledge base are Articles, Books, Forms, Guidelines, Work Instructions, Journals, Problem-Solving Materials, Reports, SOPs, Training, MoM, Project Updates, as well as experiences from employees that are written and included in the KMS.
