Gaya bahasa ilustrasi komik bertemakan neraka versi Islam dalam menyampaikan pesan dakwah
P Penelitian ini berangkat dari studi yang pernah dilakukan oleh Marcell Bonneff (1974) dalam bukunya yang berjudul Komik Indonesia yang mencatat perkembangan sejarah komik di Indonesia. Salah satu ulasannya adalah sebuah fenomena beredarnya komik bergenre religi, yaitu komik bertemakan Neraka versi Islam yang difungsikan untuk menyampaikan pesan dakwah dan mendidik masyarakat mengenai hal-hal kewajiban umat di dunia serta pengetahuan tentang kehidupan manusia setelah mati. Komik tersebut secara khusus ditujukan untuk masyarakat muslim kalangan menengah kebawah dan telah disetujui oleh pihak yang berwajib, karena menganggap dakwah melalui ilustrasi buku bergambar adalah hal yang efektif untuk masyarakat kalangan menengah kebawah yang saat itu masih banyak yang buta huruf. Ciri khas dan keunikan komik bertemakan Neraka versi Islam ini yaitu menggambarkan ilustrasi siksaan-siksaan di Neraka secara figuratif dan gamblang, serta diakui pengarangnya merujuk kepada teks Al-Quran dan Hadits. Studi di fokuskan pada kajian gaya bahasa ilustrasi komik serta penyingkapan pesan dakwah yang disampaikan pada setiap panel halaman komik, disandingkan dengan rujukan teks Al-Quran dan Hadits yang dikumpulkan secara tematik membahas perkara yang sama yaitu hukuman di Neraka. Karena gambar ilustrasi komik termasuk sistem tanda maka diulas dengan pendekatan semiotika gramatikal yang khusus menyingkap sistem tanda non-verbal atau yang tertulis. Hasil analisis penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat 7 macam gaya bahasa dalam proses kreatif interpretasi teks Al-Quran dan Hadits ke dalam sebuah ilustrasi komik yaitu, metafora, simile, metonini, hiperbola, simbolik, personifikasi, dan antropomorfisme. Serta tidak semua perkara perbuatan dosa dan hukumannya di Neraka yang disebutkan ilustrasi komik tersebut tertulis dalam teks Al-Quran dan Hadits, sehingga terdapat beberapa ilustrasi yang merupakan hasil interpretasi bebas pengarang. Untuk penelitian selanjutnya dapat melakukan penelitian mengenai persepsi pembaca komik bertemakan Neraka versi Islam, karena ilustrasi komik tersebut memberikan anjuran-anjuran pesan dakwah agama yang berpeluang mempengaruhi penghayatan kehidupan sehari-hari mereka.
T This research departs from the study that was done by Marcel Bonneff (1974) in his book entitled Komik Indonesia that noted about the developing of comic history in Indonesia. One of the reviews is about a phenomenon of religious comic, that is a comic with hell theme in Islamic version which has a function to convey a missionary endeavor and to educate society about their obligation as well as human’s afterlife. That comic is specifically addressed for the Muslims community from the middle and lower class, and also has been approved by the authority, regarding conveying the missionary endeavor throughout the illustration picture book is such an effective way for the community from middle to lower class that mostly are illiterate at the time. The typical characteristic and uniqueness of the comic with hell theme in Islamic version is depicting the illustration of torments in hell that are shown figuratively and explicitly, and was admitted by the author himself since he made it by a reference from Quran and Hadith. The study is focusing on a figure of speech of the illustration comic as well as the disclosure of the missionary endeavor that is being conveyed on every panel of the comic page, juxtaposed with the references from Quran and Hadith that is being collected thematically about the same case of the punishment in hell. Since the comic illustration is also a sign system, it is discussed with the approach of semiotic grammar that is specifically disclosed with nonverbal sign system or in writing. The result of the study research is showing that there are seven types of figurative language in the creative process of text interpretation of the Quran and Hadith into an illustration comic that is, metaphor, simile, metonini, hyperbole, symbolic, personification, and anthropomorphism. Also, not all the sin and punishment in hell that is being mentioned in the comic illustration is being written in Quran and Hadith, thereafter, some illustrations are the product of the author’s imagination. For further research can be done with a study of a comic reader’s perception with hell theme in Islamic version, since the comic illustration provides suggestions of a religious missionary endeavor with a chance to influence the appreciation of their daily life.
