L Latar Belakang: Gigi dengan kavitas kompleks memiliki struktur jaringan keras gigi yang lemah dan rentan terjadi fraktur, sehingga memerlukan bahan restorasi yang dapatmensubsitusi struktur jaringan keras gigi yang hilang. Hal ini disebabkan karena kerusakanstruktur jaringan keras gigi akibat karies, trauma, preparasi kavitas yang berlebihan danpreparasi saluran akar dalam perawatan endodontik sehingga gigi tidak dapat menahankekuatan tekan fungsional. Inovasi terkini bahan restorasi resin komposit dengan filler berupaserat fiber dalam sediaan komposit flowable dan packable. Bahan restorasi resin kompositshort-fiber reinforced dapat digunakan sebagai subsitusi struktur jaringan keras gigi. Serat fiberyang terkandung didalam resin komposit tersebut dapat meningkatkan karakteristik mekanisdengan cara menyerap, mendistribusi dan mencegah rambatan retak sehingga tercipta keadaanresistensi fraktur pada keseluruhan gigi. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahuiperbedaan pengaruh kombinasi flowable composite dan short fiber reinforced compositedengan kombinasi packable composite dan flowable short fiber reinforced composite terhadapkekuatan tekan. Metode : Penelitian eksperimental laboratorik dilakukan pada 48 sampelterbagi menjadi 8 kelompok menggunakan kombinasi bahan resin komposit flowable ,packable dengan basis berbahan komposit short-fiber reinforced dan dipolimerisasimenggunakan light cure. Sampel penelitian berbentuk silindris dengan dimensi ketebalansesuai standar ISO. Selanjutnya dilakukan uji kekuatan tekan pada setiap sampel penelitianmenggunakan universal testing machine. Analisis hasil menggunakan uji statistik ANOVA 2jalan. Hasil : Hasil analisis ANOVA 2 jalan menunjukan ada perbedaan kekuatan tekan yangsignifikan (p<0,001) antar kelompok. Kesimpulan : penggunaan bahan restorasi kompositshort-fiber reinforced sebagai basis restorasi dapat meningkatkan kekuatan tekan menyeluruhpada restorasi.

This means that they need restorative materialsthat can replace the missing hard tissue structure.This happens when caries, trauma,cavity preparation, and root canal preparation during endodontic treatment damage thehard tissue structure of the teeth so they can't withstand functional compressive stresses.The latest improvement in composite resin restoration materials is the use of fillers in theform of fibers in flowable and packable composite. Restorative materials made of shortfiberreinforced composite resin can be used to replace the hard tissue structure of theteeth. The fibers in the composite resin could really improve the tooth's mechanicalproperties by absorbing, spreading, and stopping cracks from spreading. This makes thewhole tooth more resistant to breaking. Methods: Using a flowable, packable compositeresin material with a short-fiber reinforced composite base and light cure polymerization,research was done in the lab on 48 samples that were split into 8 groups.The researchsample is in the shape of a cylinder, and its thickness meets ISO standards. Also, auniversal testing machine was used to test the compressive strength of each researchsample. The 2-way ANOVA statistical test was used to look at the results. Result: Theresults of the 2-way ANOVA analysis showed that there was a significant difference incompressive strength (p<0.001) between groups. Conclusion: the use of short-fiberreinforced composite restorative materials as a restoration base can increase the overallcompressive strength of the restoration.
