L Low Resistivity Reservoir pada awalnya dianggap tidak menarik karena nilai SW tinggi, akan tetapi belakangan ini dibeberapa tempat dapat memberikan produksiyang memuaskan. Melalui penelitian ini akan menjelaskan tentang hubungan karakterisasi reservoir dari low resistivity reservoir dan keberhasilan peningkatanproduksi minyak dan gas bumi di Formasi X, khususnya di Lapangan Enim di Sumatera Selatan. Karena resistivitas minyak pada Formasi X di Sumatera Selatan,bernilai > 10 Ohm. m. Tapi, di Lapangan Enim, diketahui bahwa resistivitas cut-off untuk minyak hanya > 3 Ohm. m dan gas hanya > 7 Ohm. m. Karakteristik reservoirdievaluasi dengan menggabungkan data cutting, mudlog, analisis batuan inti (core), Open Hole Logging, wireline formation testing dan pengujian sumur. Data yangpaling andal dalam menentukan fluida reservoir adalah wireline formasi testing,dengan mengevaluasi gradien tekanan reservoir dan pemindaian cairan. Sampelcutting dan analisis batuan inti (core) dibutuhkan untuk menentukan mineralogi clay,jenis Sedimentologi, dan nilai SWC. Re-evaluasi petrophysics dilakukan karenaanalisis petrophysical standar memberikan nilai SW yang terlalu tinggi, meskipunkandungan air sangat rendah ketika diproduksi. Dengan memahami karakteristik lowresisitivity reservoir dan metode stimulasi yang sesuai, diharapkan dapat membukapeluang untuk menemukan potensi hidrokarbon dan meningkatkan produksi migas.

Samplecutting and core analysis are needed to determine clay mineralogy,type of sedimentology, and SWC value. Re-evaluation of petrophysics was carried out because Standard petrophysical analysis gives SW values ​​that are too high, though very low water content when produced. By understanding the characteristics of lowreservoir resistivity and appropriate stimulation methods, are expected to open upopportunities to discover hydrocarbon potential and increase oil and gas production.
