Studi laboratorium pengaruh penggunaan barite dan calcium carbonate terhadap polymer PAC LV, XC polymer dan PHPA pada temperatur 100 â° F, 200 â° F, 300 â° F
L umpur pemboran merupakan larutan berbahan kimia yang memiliki peranan dalam melakukan sirkulasi cutting pada proses pemboran. Bahan kimia atau zat aditif yang digunakan dapat berupa weighting agent seperti barite dan calcium carbonate dan polymer seperti pac lv, xc polymer dan phpa. Dari aditif tersebut perlu diketahui bagaimana pengaruh zat aditif terhadap lumpurpemboran.Pada penelitian ini akan dilakukan analisa pengaruh penggunaan baritedan calcium carbonate terhadap polymer pac lv, xc polymer dan phpa yang akandiuji pada temperatur 100 F, 200 F dan 300 F. Analisa ini bersifat eksperimendimana akan meguji karakteristik atau sifat fisik dari lumpur yang digunakan.Pengujian ini dilakukan dengan cara menganalisa bagaimana perubahan sifat fisiklumpur pemboran yang disebabkan kenaikan temperatur. Pegujian sifat fisik yangdilakukan yaitu perubahan density, viscosity, plastic viscosity, yield point, gelstrenght, filtration loss dan tebal mud cake serta menguji pH lumpur.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan, kenaikan temperaturmempengaruhi sifat fisik lumpur pemboran. Kenaikan temperatur mempengaruhiseperti menurunnya nilai densitas dari 10.2 ppg turun hingga 9.9 ppg , penurunannilai viskositas dari 49.58 sec/quarts turun hingga 22 sec/quarts dan penurunannilai plastik viskositas dari 27 cp turun hingga 22 cp . Selain itu filtration loss jugameningkat dari 1.6 ml naik hingga 2.2 ml seiring naiknya temperatur.

Chemicals or additives used can be inthe form of weighting agents such as barite and calcium carbonate and polymerssuch as pac lv, xc polymer and phpa. From these additives, it is necessary to knowhow the additives affect the drilling mud.In this study, an analysis of the effect of the use of barite and calciumcarbonate on polymer pac lv, xc polymer and phpa will be tested at temperaturesof 100 F, 200 F and 300 F. This analysis is experimental which will test thecharacteristics or physical properties of the sludge used. . This test is carried outby analyzing how the physical properties of drilling mud change due totemperature increases. The physical properties tested were changes in density,viscosity, plastic viscosity, yield point, gel strength, filtration loss and thickness ofmud cake and also tested the pH of the mud.Based on the results of research that has been carried out, thetemperature increase affects the physical properties of the drilling mud. Theincrease in temperature affects such as a decrease in the density value from 10.2ppg down to 9.9 ppg, a decrease in the viscosity value from 49.58 sec / quartsdown to 22 sec / quarts and a decrease in the plastic viscosity value from 27 cpdown to 22 cp. In addition, the filtration loss also increased from 1.6 ml up to 2.2ml as the temperature increased.
