T he use of additives in cement is a common thing to do in a well, oil well, gas well, or geothermal cementing operating. For cementing operations support, surely we should know the physical properties of additive on cement when added. This final task is to explain the difference of results that studies on the Compressive Strength and Thickening Time of class G cement with additives such Lignosulfonate, Sodium Borate dan CMHEC. Note that Lignosulfonate, Sodium Borate dan CMHEC are retarder additive that is able to enlarge the thickening time of cement. While barite is one of the most common weighting agents used as a mix of drilling mud or cement. The purpose of the addition of barite is to increase the density of the cement slurry. This means that, with the increase of additive content, the cement slurry will delay the reach of 100 UC.Laboratory studies conducted to see the extent to which the effects of the addition of the type of additive already mentioned before with three different conditioning temperature which is 80°F, 140°F, and 180°F, and with the curing time of 24 hours.
