R Rendahnya minat remaja terhadap pembelajaran sejarah di sekolah menjadi latar belakang perancangan board game edukatif berjudul perjuangan rakyat. media alternatif ini bertujuan memperkenalkan kembali nilai-nilai perjuangan nasional melalui pendekatan visual dan interaktif yang lebih relevan dengan karakteristik remaja. peristiwa perang diponegoro diangkat sebagai tema utama dalam permainan. metode pengumpulan data dilakukan secara kualitatif melalui studi literatur, kuesioner, wawancara dengan board game master, serta penerapan metode design thinking dalam proses perancangan. sistem permainan mengadaptasi bang! the dice game yang telah dimodifikasi agar sesuai dengan konteks sejarah indonesia, melalui elemen-elemen seperti kartu karakter, kartu peran, kartu peristiwa, dadu simbolik, serta token efek dan nyawa karakter. dari sisi visual, ilustrasi menggunakan gaya semi-realis ala komik barat, dipadukan dengan elemen grafis pendukung budaya visual jawa dan belanda. perancangan ini tidak hanya menyampaikan edukasi sejarah, tetapi juga mendorong kemampuan sosial, kerja sama tim, serta problem solving. diharapkan, media ini mampu menjadi sarana belajar sejarah yang menyenangkan dan edukatif bagi remaja.

T The low interest of teenagers in learning history at school serves as the background for the development of an educational board game titled perjuangan rakyat. this alternative medium aims to reintroduce the values of national struggle through a visual and interactive approach that aligns with the characteristics of today’s youth. the historical event of the diponegoro war is presented as the central theme of the game. data collection was carried out qualitatively through literature studies, questionnaires, interviews with a board game master, and the application of the design thinking method throughout the design process. the gameplay system adapts bang! the dice game, which is modified to fit the historical context of indonesia, through elements such as character cards, role cards, event cards, symbolic dice, and tokens representing effects and character health. visually, the design applies a semi-realist illustration style inspired by western comics, integrated with supporting graphic elements from javanese and dutch cultural visual identities. this board game is designed not only to deliver historical education but also to encourage social interaction, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. it is expected to serve as an engaging and educational medium for teenagers to learn history more meaningfully.
