B Bali is one of the islands in Indonesia which is thought to have a very large impact on the world of tourism in Indonesia. The attraction of the island of Bali that is able to distinguish it from other regions in Indonesia, among others, is the natural beauty, culture, and a variety of distinctive culinary delights.The role of the tourism industry is very important in providing opportunities for the formal sector, especially in the province of Bali. The hotel business is the highest contributor to the economy in Bali Province. This type of business still needs a further maintenance and development process [1].Hotel is a business in the tourism sector that provides lodging, food and drink as well as other services for the public interest, and is managed commercially [2]. Hotels have an important role in the development of the tourism industry in Indonesia, especially at this time the tourism sector in Indonesia is in extraordinary growth. This increase has an influence on the increase in tourist visits from all over the world to Bali. Thus, the need for accommodation in the form of hotels is very much needed.4-star quality hotel accommodation equipped with supporting facilities that utilize the potential of nature has succeeded in attracting the interest of tourists in Bali. Bioclimatic architecture as a solution to the utilization of natural potential in building design, as well as the application of elements of traditional Balinese locality to several elements of the built environment, is able to provide comfort, beauty and aesthetic value that can be enjoyed by hotel residents / users.This article aims to discuss more specifically the application of bioclimatic architecture in meeting the design of 4-star hotel criteria.
