Pengaruh board diversity dan sales growth terhadap financial distress yang dimoderasi oleh board remuneration pada perusahaan pertambangan di Indonesia.
P Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh variabel independen Keragaman Dewan Direksi (terdiri dari Keragaman Demografis dan Keragaman Kognitif) dan Pertumbuhan Penjualan terhadap variabel dependen Kesulitan Keuangan dengan variabel moderasi adalah Remunerasi Dewan Direksi serta variabel kontrol Ukuran Perusahaan, Umur Perusahaan, Perputaran Total Aset di perusahaan pertambangan yang terdaftar di BEI (Bursa Efek Indonesia) selama periode 2018 - 2022. Sampel penelitian dipilih menggunakan metode purposive sampling sehingga diperoleh 43 (empat puluh tiga) perusahaan yang masuk kriteria untuk menjadi sampel. Analisis data yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis yaitu analisis regresi berganda dengan menggunakan program Eviews-12. Dalam memprediksi nilai Kesulitan Keuangan, penulis menggunakan analisis model Zmijewski atau yang sering dikenal dengan metode X-Score. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa variabel Keragaman Demografis berpengaruh negatif, Pertumbuhan Penjualan berpengaruh positif, Keragaman Dewan Direksi memoderasi Pertumbuhan Penjualan memiliki pengaruh negatif terhadap Kesulitan Keuangan.Untuk menurunkan Kesulitan Keuangan, Perusahaan lebih memperhatikan faktor pendukung Pertumbuhan Penjualan sebagai penyebab terjadinya Kesulitan Keuangan seperti inefisiensi biaya investasi dan operasional yang tidak sebanding dengan pendapatan perusahaan yang mengakibatkan penurunan kinerja keuangan Perusahaan. Selain itu Keragaman Demografis yang terdiri dari Keragaman Umur Perusahaan, Keragaman Jenis Kelamin, Keragaman Kewarganegaraan. Dengan Keragaman Demografis dapat menghasilkan kebijakan – kebijakan direksi yang komperhensif terhadap peningkatan kinerja keuangan sehingga meminimalisir terjadinya Kesulitan Keuangan. Pemberian Remunerasi Dewan Direksi juga dapat mampu meningkatkan efektivitas kinerja Dewan Direksi terhadap keputusan yang diambil untuk meminimalisir terjadinya Kesulitan Keuangan.
T This research was aimed to analyze the influence of the independent variables Board Diversity (consisting of Demographic Diversity and Cognitive Diversity) and Sales Growth toward the dependent variable of Financial Distress with the moderating variable was being Board Remuneration, variable control of Firm Size, Company Age, Total Asset Turn Over in mining companies. That was registered at the BEI (Indonesian Stock Exchange) during the period 2018 until 2022. The research sample was selected using a purposive sampling method 43 (forty three) companies were obtained that accepted to the criteria of the samples. Data analysis was used to test the hypothesis that was multiple regression analysis that used the Eviews-12 program. In predicting the value of financial distress, reseacher was used the Zmijewski model analysis or what is often known as the X-Score method. Based on the results of this research that had been carried out, it was known that the Demographic Diversity variable has a negative effect, Sales Growth has a positive effect, Board Remuneration moderates Sales Growth and has a negative effect on the Financial distress.To reduce Financial Distress, the Company was paid more attention to supporting factors for Sales Growth as a cause of financial distress, such as inefficiency in investment and operational costs were not commensurate with the company\'s income, which results in a decline in the Company\\\'s financial performance. A part from that, Demographic Diversity consists of Age Diversity, Gender Diversity, and National Diversity. While Demographic Diversity can be produced comprehensive board policies to improve financial performance, and minimizing the occurrence Financial Distress. Providing Board Remuneration can also increase the effectiveness of the Board of Directors\' performance regarding decisions was taken to minimize the occurrence of financial distress.
