I Instrumen Nikel-titanium (NiTi) sering kali digunakan lebihdari sekali pemakaian pada praktik klinis dengan beragam alasan. Oleh karena itu,sterilisasi autoklaf diperlukan untuk menghindari infeksi silang antar pasien. Fileendodontik NiTi sangat dipengaruhi oleh proses termomekanik, sehinggatambahan perlakukan panas selama sterilisasi autoklaf dapat mempengaruhi sifatfisik file.Tujuan: mengetahui perbedaan ketahanan cyclic fatigue file One curve (OC),M3-L Platinum (M3LP), dan Hyflex EDM (HEDM), serta efeknya terhadapsterilisasi autoklaf multipel pada ketahanan cyclic fatigue file NiTi.Metode: 6 file OC, 6 file M3LP, dan 6 file HEDM digunakan sebagai sampeldalam penelitian ini. File diuji pada saluran akar artifisial lengkung ganda yangterbuat dari stainless steel. Setiap jenis file (OC, M3LP, HEDM) dibagi menjadi 3subkelompok, kelompok 1, baseline untuk menentukan rerata ketahanan cyclicfatigue (MCF); kelompok 2, file yang diuji disterilisasi autoklaf setelah pemutaranfile sebanyak 25%, 50%, and 75% dari nilai MCF; kelompok 3, file di uji sepertipada kelompok 2 hanya saja tidak melalui siklus autoklaf. Cyclic fatigue dihitungdengan rumus number of cyclic to fracture (NCF), data kemudian dianalisisstatistik menggunakan uji one-way ANOVA dan post hoc Tukey.Hasil: HEDM menujukkan nilai NCF yang lebih tinggi secara signifikan padakelompok 2 (6840) dibandingakn dengan kelompok 1 dan kelompok 3 atau jenisfile lain (p <0.05). Secara umum, dari semua file yang diuji terlepas darikelompok ujinya (baseline, dengan atau tanpa sterilisasi autoklaf) menunjukkanketahanan cyclic fatigue yang lebih tinggi pada file HEDM (p <0.05) kemudianM3LP dan OC.Kesimpulan: HEDM menunjukkan NCF tertinggi dalam perlakuan autoklaf.HEDM memiliki ketahanan cyclic fatigue yang lebih tinggi daripada M3LP danOC. Prosedur autoklaf memberikan efek positif yang mempengaruhi ketahanancyclic fatigue dari instrumen NiTi yang diberi perlakuan panas.

N Nickel-titanium (NiTi) instruments are generally used more than one single-use in clinical practice for different reasons. Therefore, autoclavesterilization is necessary to avoid cross-contamination among patients. Since NiTi properties are highly influenced by thermomechanical processing, the effects of additional heat retreatment promoted during autoclaving procedures can affectits mechanical properties.Objective: It was aimed to compare the cyclic fatigue resistances of One curve(OC), M3-L Platinum (M3LP), and Hyflex EDM (HEDM), and the effects ofmultiple autoclave sterilization on the cyclic fatigue resistances of nickel-titanium(NiTi) instruments.Method: 6 OC, 6 M3LP, and 6 HEDM were included to the present study. Fileswere tested in a custom-made stainless-steel simulated canal. Each brand of theNiTi files were divided into 3 subgroups: group 1, as received condition in orderto find the baseline mean cycles determined for the fracture; group 2, instruments tested were sterilized after being exposed to 25%, 50%, and 75% of the mean cycles to failure, then cycled fatigue test was performed; group 3, instruments exposed to the same experiment with group 3 without sterilization. The number ofcycles to failure (NCF) was calculated. The data was statistically analysed by using one-way ANOVA and post hoc Tukey tests.Result: HEDM showed significantly higher NCF in group 2 (6840) compared togroup 1 and group 3 or other brands (p <0.05). In general, all tested files(regardless of baseline, with or without sterilization) showed higher cyclic fatigue resistances in the HEDM group (p<0.05) which had the highest NCF followed byM3LP and OC.Conclusion: HEDM showed highest NCF within the same autoclave treatment.HEDM was more resistant to fatigue failure than M3LP and OC. Autoclaving procedures appear to influence the cyclic fatigue resistances of heat-treated NiTi instruments.
