I In recent years the energy altenative is being discussed. This was due to the depletion of world oil reserves resources therefore need renewables. Seeing the number of people households that produce organic waste every day in large numbers and the trash just thrown away, the writer tries to process them into substitute energy sources biogas, and it can reduce the use of fuel oil, and LPG. In this thesis the author makes biogas from waste materials of organic waste using simple digester of a 200 liter plastic drum. The tools used in this experiment is a plastic drum of 200 liters, 150 liters and 60 liters, manometer scale of 1 kg/cm2, thermometer, 2" valve, and a 'A" valve. The raw material used is domestic waste organic materials such as leftover household cooking vegetables and food wastes. With a ratio of organic waste with water (1:1,5) using kilograms. The digester then allowed to stand for two weeks and after that biogas produced is measured using manometer. From these results, the total gas volume obtained during the 14 days which is formed at 360,60 liters and of the total gas that is formed there methane 204,88 liters gas (CH4) and about 155,71 liters of gas carbon dioxide (CO2). The gas produced can be used to cook 1 hour per day for 2 weeks after the gas formed. Total costs incurred for these equipment is Rp.1.345.000,- predicted this tool can be used for 3 years and the price per liter of methane gas at Rp.580,- /liter. And this tool has depreciated by Rp.381.667,- /year. Results of this study are expected to be used as a reference for generating biogas with high levels of methane (CH4) and can also be beneficial not only to the parties associated in the department of mechanical engineering from Trisakti University, but also for other universities and society at large and it is expected this people to convert their organic waste to biogas for domestic use.

O Over the times the electrical energy needs is a basic requirement at this time, so that the electrical energy needs to consider its quality by considering how efficiently the active power that can be channeled, in the world of electricity known a quantity called the power factor or cos cp. Many known problems in the industry are natural power factor or cos 9, the higher the power factor of 0.85 or above, the more efficient distribution of power, while the smaller the power factor of 0.85 or below diminishing its efficiency in power distribution. In this research discusses improve power factor in distribution substations BC345, BC345 because the power factor at 0.84, so it needs repairs, so the power factor of distribution substation BC345 close to 1 or above according to provisions of PLN 0.85. In this research will be simulated using ETAP software 12.6.0. Repairs carried out by mounting the capacitor capacity 88,46 kVAR installed in order to get the value of power factor close to unity or above according to provisions of PLN 0.85. From the result of the installation of capacitor banks amounted to 88.46 kVAR and mounted on Distribution Substation BC345. From the simulation results adding capacitor banks at Substation Distribution BC345 showed that 0.99 power factor and reactive power 29.906 kVAR and the feeder network Jumbo generate the power factor of 0.949, then the quality of the power distribution network more efficient Jumbo feeder.
