Fleksibilitas otot hamstring diukur menggunakan sit and reach test, keseimbangan dinamis diukur menggunakan time up and go test, dan aktivitas fisik diukur menggunakan kuesioner IPAQ short version.
B BACKGROUND In the elderly there are changes in body functions, one of which is a decrease in balance. Things that can affect the dynamic balance is muscle flexibility. Muscle disorders will affect the body's ability to adjust body posture so that there will be a balance disorder. The purpose of this study was to determine fleksibility of hamstring muscle with dynamic balance in elderly. METHOD This study used a descriptive analytic method with a cross-sectional design and the respondents were 54 elderly people. This research was conducted at Posyandu Kapri 1 Galudra Village, Cugenang District. Hamstring flexibility was measured using the sit and reach test, dynamic balance was measured using the time up and go test, and physical activity was measured using the IPAQ short version questionnaire. The data obtained were analyzed using SPSS. RESULTS In this study, it was found that 48.1% of respondents had normal muscle tissue and 51.9% had limited muscle flexibility. For dynamic balance status, it was found that the category of not risky was 46.3% and the category of risky was 53.7%. There is a relationship between fleksibilty of hamstring muscle with dynamic balance in the elderly (P = 0.00; p <0.05). CONCLUSIONS There is a relationship between fleksibilty of hamstring muscle with dynamic balance in the elderly
