6 624/5000Building structures that use bresing systems have the advantage of increasing the stiffness of structures when resisting seismic forces, but conventional bresing has the disadvantage of buckling failure prior to material melting when receiving axial force press. Thus, it becomes the main foundation for the development of a bresing system that can consistently carry a relatively comparable axial and tensile force of Buckling - Restrained Brace (BRB). BRB itself has a restraining concrete that surrounds it so this bresing will not buckle when depressed. This study will discuss the design of a 10-storey reinforced concrete building attached BRB and compare the effectiveness of its configuration in the form of inverted v and cross 2 story. The analysis was conducted with the help of ETABS program version 15.2.2 and using the current Indonesian National Standardization Standard (SNI). From the study results it can be concluded that BRB with cross 2 story configuration is generally more effective when compared with inverted v.
