T Tourism has always been a part of landscape architecture. Showcasing the land's natural beauty enhanced to its fullest and developed for tourist enjoyment is a typical project or design problem for landscape architect. But designing a place with art and cultural significance is a rare opportunity where in one can give one's best effort in direct service to one's country.Pekanbaru as one of the most attractive tourism destination in Indonesia has so many cultural places, and one of them is Bandar Seni "Raja Ali Haji" which I took as a project of study here. Bandar Seni "Raja Ali Haji" located in the heart of Pekanbaru city near by Sultan Syarif Kasim II Air Port and it covers an area of approximately 15 hectares. This complex is grown since the first site was build in 1994 as 14th MTQ building. Now a day the complex known as Bandar Seni "Raja Ali Haji". The recent condition of this complex is quite poor, where the area become so crowded with the settlement and other land uses which decrease the characteristic of this complex it self.Therefore, as a culture tourism area, Bandar Seni \"Raja Ali Haji\"needs to be increased in quality, in this case by the landscape designing which could be done in varies balance actions among development and utilization from the assets. And the most important thing to do is to enhance the Malay culture elements of the site because this complex is center of Art and Cultural Riau Malay.Tourism will continue to grow in rest of Indonesia, and throughout much of the world. It has the potential to destroy our cultural resources, or it can be force for appreciating, enhancing, and protecting the qualities value in the environment.With all the efforts, the image of Bandar Seni \"Raja Ali Haji\" as abeautiful place to be visited in the past will not be disappeared as in forever.
