P Penelitian ini dilakukan di perusahaan industri otomotif. Perusahaan ini memproduksi komponen interior mobil seperti Mat Floor D40D, Sunvisor MMKI, dan Pakage Tray D74. Data dari November 2023 hingga Januari 2024 menunjukkan tingkat kecacatan tertinggi pada Pakage Tray D74 sebesar 2,99%, terutama karena cacat keropos. Suhu heater pada tanggal 22 hingga 23 januari tidak sesuai standar pabrik dimana suhu masing masing pada hari itu tercatat sebesar 215° dan 185°, kondisi ini terjadi akibat kelalaian operator saat mengatur suhu heater sebelum produksi. Mengingat batas toleransi kecacatan maksimal adalah 2%, penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi penyebab kecacatan, menghitung nilai Defects Per Million Opportunities (DPMO), dan tingkat sigma, serta memberikan usulan perbaikan. Metode yang digunakan meliputi Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA), Seven Tools, dan Statistical Process Control (SPC). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan DPMO sebesar 11.788,18 dengan tingkat sigma 3,76, menandakan kualitas produksi PT. X tergolong baik. Usulan perbaikan mencakup penggunaan alat Thermocouple Data Logger untuk memantau suhu mesin heater, pembuatan checklist suhu actual sebagai preventif maintenance, pengecekan material sesuai SOP perusahaan dan pembuatan sticker QC , pelatihan operator dalam penggunaan mesin press, pembuatan SOP serta pembuatan poster K3. Dengan implementasi perbaikan ini, diharapkan kecacatan pada Pakage Tray D74 dapat diminimalisir, meningkatkan kualitas produk dan kepuasan pelanggan.
P PT. X, an automotive manufacturing company, produces interior car components such as the Mat Floor D40D, Sunvisor MMKI, and Package Tray D74. Data from November 2023 to January 2024 indicates the highest defect rate for the Package Tray D74, which is 2.99%, primarily due to porosity defects. The heater temperature on January 22 and 23 was not in accordance with the factory standards, with recorded temperatures of 215°C and 185°C on those days. This condition occurred due to operator negligence in setting the heater temperature before production. Given that the maximum defect tolerance limit is 2%, this study aims to identify the causes of defects, calculate the Defects Per Million Opportunities (DPMO) and sigma level, and provide improvement suggestions. The methods used include Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA), Seven Tools, and Statistical Process Control (SPC). The research results show a DPMO of 11,788.18 with a sigma level of 3.76, indicating that the production quality of PT. X is considered good. Suggested improvements include using a Thermocouple Data Logger to monitor the heater machine temperature, creating an actual temperature checklist as a preventive maintenance tool, checking materials in accordance with the company's SOP, creating QC stickers, providing operator training in press machine operation, establishing SOPs, and creating Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) posters. With the implementation of these improvements, it is expected that defects in the Package Tray D74 can be minimized, improving product quality and customer satisfaction.
