B BACKGROUND Blood pressure is a pressure from the blood and is pumped by the heart over the walls of the arteries and is divided into systolic and diastolic. Blood pressurel decrease 10% in the evening-night in a normal circadian rhythm and will increase again in the morning, which stress can affect circadian rhythm. This study aims to see the difference between morning and evening blood pressure on 45-65 years old.METHODThe research method used is observational analytic with a cross sectional approach, and subject is selected with consecutive non-probability sampling method. The population in this study were community in the range of age 45-65 and fit into the inclusion criteria, with the number of samples is 301. Datas were collected through filling out questionnaires regarding the research and insomnia KSPBJ. Researcher will also measure morning and evening blood pressure. The data will be analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) using univariate and bivariate analysis.RESULTOf the 301 subjects studied using paired t-test, there was a difference between morning and evening systolic blood pressure (P = 0,023), but there was no difference between morning and evening diastolic blood pressure (P = 0,224). In the Chi-square test, there was no relationship between age, gender, smoking, nighttime bath and morning blood pressure and evening blood pressure (P > 0,05), there was no relationship between antihypertensive drug and morning blood pressure (P = 0,064) but there was a relationship between antihypertensive drug and evening blood pressure (P = 0,025), there was a relationship between insomnia and morning blood pressure (P = 0,001), but there was no relationship between insomnia and evening blood pressure (P = 0,977).CONCLUSIONThere is a difference between morning and evening systolic blood pressure, there is a relationship between insomnia and morning blood pressure, there is a relationship between antihypertensive drug and evening blood pressure, but there is no relationship between factors that affect blood pressure and morning and evening blood pressure.
