Abstract

P PT. Mulia Cemerlang Abadi Multi Industri adalah perusahaan yang bergerak di industri garmen yang membuat berbagai pakaian jadi berdasarkan pesanan buyer. Dan selalu memperhatikan pelayanan dan kualitas untuk para pelanggannya. Hal ini dilakukan dengan menghasilkan produk yang sesuai dengan keinginan konsumen. Model sweater dan kualitas produk menjadi faktor penentu kesuksesan perusahaan dalam industri garmen.Berdasarkan penelitian pendahuluan, diketahui -bahwa perusahaan memiliki permasalahan tingkat cacat yang cukup tinggi pada proses produksi. Tingkat cacat pada proses produksi tertinggi perusahaan berasal dan produk Westland Hooded Sweater. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari persentase cacat produk tersebut yaitu sebesar 6.02%, jauh dibawah target perusahaan yaitu dibawah 5%. Tingginya persentase cacat pada Westland Hooded Sweater menimbulkan tingginya kegiatan rework. Kegiatan rework merupakan kegiatan menjahit ulang sweater yang tidak lolos inspeksi pada bagian sewing. Berdasarkan penelitian pendahuluan juga diketahui terdapat 8 jenis kecacatan yang umumnya timbul pada divisi sewing dan kecacatan yang dominan berdasarkan diagram pareto adalah cacat broken stitch, skip stitch, lain permakan, dan kotor minyak. Cacat salah pengukuran sendiri terdiri dari ketidaksesuian lebar dada dan lebar waistband. Pengolahan data pada cacat atribut juga menghasilkan nilai DPMO sebesar 10785.98 yang berarti proses produksiwestland mencapai 10785 unit cacat dan satu juta kesempatan, dengan tingkat sigma (1.5 shift) yaitu sebesar 3,7. Hal tersebut masih diperlukan peningkatan kualitas dengan tools six sigma agar mendekati target dari six sigma itu sendiri yaitu 3,4 cacat dari satu juta kesempatan. Berdasarkan analisa cacat atribut yang timbul pada bagian sewing disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor yaitu kurangnya pengetahuan operator mengenai kualitas, kurangnya ketelitian operator dan instruksi pengawas lini tidak jelas, tidak adanya instruksi kerja yang jelas mengenai perawatan mesin, sehingga kegagagalan yang terjadi tidak dapat dihindari. Maka perlu diadakan perbaikan pada proses sewing dengan menggunakan program expert system dan pembuatan instruksi kerja serta standar operasi dan 5s.

Sweater models and product quality became the determinants of the company's success in the garment industry.Based on preliminary research, it is known-that the company has a high defect rate problem in the production process. The defect rate on the company's highest production process comes from the Westland Hooded Sweater product. This can be seen from the percentage of defects of the product that is equal to 6.02%, well below the target company that is below 5%. The high percentage of defects in the Westland Hooded Sweater led to high rework activities. Rework activities is a re-sewing activity of a sweater that does not pass inspection on the sewing. Based on preliminary study also known there are 8 types of disability that generally arise in the division of sewing and disability is dominant based on the pareto diagram is a broken stitch flaw, skip stitch, another grease, and dirty oil. The self-defeating defect consists of a chest width discrepancy and waistband width. Data processing on attribute defects also resulted in a DPMO value of 10785.98, which means that the production of thewestwest reaches 10785 defective units and one million opportunities, with a sigma rate of 1.5 shifts of 3.7. It is still necessary to improve quality with six sigma tools to approach the target of the six sigma itself is 3.4 defects from a million opportunities. Based on the analysis of defects attributes that arise in the sewing is caused by several factors namely lack of operator knowledge about the quality, lack of operator accuracy and instructions of line supervisor is not clear, the absence of clear work instructions about the maintenance of the machine, so that the failure that can not be avoided. It is necessary to make improvements to the sewing process by using expert system program and making work instructions as well as operating standards and 5s.
