Its cleanliness and its room interior should be takeninto consideration since these two factors, psychologically can speed up therecovery or worsen the condition of patients. The unfavorable atmosphere canpsychologically give negative impacts on pregnant mothers, so that the healingprocess might be slowed down. Furthermore, ergonomically unsuitable roomfurniture used by patients, kinds of lamp producing glares, font size and positionof signage as a wayfinding are still the issues of Mother and Child Hospital. Inaddition, the use of unharmonious colors that are suitable with the characters ofmothers and children is still a problem for many Mother and Child Hospitals.Therefore, Mother and Child Hospital of Kemang Medical Care in South Jakartais redesigned. The purpose of the work is to design the interior according to theenvironment, so that it will have positive impacts on the healing process ofmothers and children. The process of designing the interior is done by doing aresearch using a descriptive, qualitative research method based on a survey resultsand literature studies.The theme of Kemang Medical Care is Healing Environment by displaying theimage of a trusted,warm, and clean hospital with a post-modern style. It isexpected that the result of the design will be able to create a complete andcomfortable interior for the whole users to Kemang Medical Care where theergonomic furniture is used, the signage systemas the wayfinding is put correctly,the color depicting the characteristics of mothers and children are put on view,and adequare lighting is on display.
