I Indonesia is keep moving forward in expanding oil palm plantations with high economic value. Commencing in 2007 the Indonesian oil palm plantations covering an area of 6.85 million hectares recorded, and increased to 9.10 million hectares in 2011. In 2012 the estimated oil palm plantation area was increased by 1.40 percent to 9,23 million hectares and in 2013 increased by 1.65 per cent to 9.38 million hectares. Based on the above data area of oil palm plantations in Indonesia over the last seven years tend to show an increase of about 1.40 to 9.05 percent per year. Along with the increase in CPO production, the waste generated by palm oil producers also increased. Of the various types of waste generated (solid, liquid, and gas) then there is a solid waste Empty Palm Bunches (EFB) has the potential to be used as industrial raw materials in the form of "Natural Fibers" which can be used as the basis of composite products that can then be utilized as components such as clothes bulletproof, car body, and supporting components in a wide variety of industries and as a replacement for synthetic materials, other minerals which are not environmentally friendly materials and non-renewable. The advantages of natural fiber materials EFB, such as; high mechanical strength up to 0.08 GPa, good heat resistance up to 240 cC, and the resistance of electrical conductivity is quite good. Palm fiber produced from the sorting, cleaning, decomposition, and selections. While the composite materials obtained from the process of mixing, compaction, heat press, and coating. And coating to be used on composite materials made with 4 coating.
