T Trauma dentoalveolar merupakan trauma yang sering dijumpai dalam kasus sehari-hari dan dapat terjadi karenan berbagai penyebab. Misalkan karena jatuh, kecelakaan lalu lintas, olalu·aga, dan kasus iatrogenik. Pemeriksaan klinis mutlak diperlukan selain melakukan anamnesis. untuk menegakkan diagnosis. Diantara seluruh trauma dentoalveolar, gigi avulsi merupakan kasus serius yang patut ditangani. Cedera lain seperti trauma pada jaringan lunak dan fraktur tulang alveolar dapat juga menyertainya. Prognosis sangat ditentukan oleh respons pasien untuk mencari pengobatan yang tepat. Replantasi imediat gigi permanen adalah perawatan pilihan yang dapat dilakukan pada waktu dan tempat kejadian untuk memperoleh hasil yang maksimal.
T Traumatic injuries to the dentoalveolar structures are relatively commons and occur from var10us causes. The most common causes are falls,motor vehicles, sports injuries, and iatrogenics. The clinical examination is perhaps the most important part of the diagnostic process, beside history taking to the patients. Among other trauma, avulsed tooth is one of most serious of all dental injuries. Concomitant injury to the soft tissue and alveolar bone fracture are also associated with tooth avulsion. The prognosis depends on the immediate response of the traumatized person himself or the person attending the accident when it happens. Immediate replantation of the permanen teeth is the treatment of choice, if it can be pcrfom1ed at the time and place of accident.
