R Region of West Java province is one of the areas most prone to ground movement in Indonesian . This happens partly due to the rugged topography and relatively high rainfall . Sumedang District is a region with low vulnerability level tohigh ground movement Location research area is administratively located in the Regions Jatigede who are geographically located at coordinates 06°51’40.84’’S - 108°06’05.24’’Edan 06°51’08.29’’S - 108°06’37’’E. The purpose of this study is to map thevulnerability of ground movements, research based on an analysis of the value of the safety factor of the slope and into the data processing software that generates the final result of landslide susceptibility maps .Issues to be discussed are trying to analyze the avalanche area left and countermeasures based on the data collected . Zoning safety factor in the study area according to the classification of Joseph E. Bowles (2000 ) where the safety factor with a value above 1.25. Slope conditions are relatively safe and rare landslides.
