Abstrak
Abstract

E Etika adalah pengetahuan tentang perilaku yang benar dalam suatu profesi. Komunikasi adalah suatu transaksi, proses simbolik yang menghendaki orang-orang mengatur lingkungannya dengan membangun hubungan antar sesama manusia, melalui pertukaran informasi, untuk menguatkan sikap dan tingkah laku orang lain, berusaha mengubah sikap dan tingkah laku. Komunikasi yang efektif antara dokter dan pasien, akan sangat membantu dalam proses penyembuhan pasien dan keberhasilan dokter merawat pasien. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan mahasiswa-mahasiswi klinik kedokteran gigi terhadap perawatan sesuai etika dan komunikasi efektif pada pasien. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 97 mahasiswa klinik RSGM TRISAKTI. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan dengan pendekatan cross sectional, dimana variabel sebab atau risiko dan akibat atau kasus yang terjadi pada objek penelitian diukur atau dikumpulkan secara simultan (dalam waktu yang bersamaan). Hasil yang didapat yaitu 100% responden memiliki pengetahuan yang baik. Seluruh responden mendapatkan nilai diatas 70 point. Terdapat 60 responden mendapat 100 point, 27 responden mendapat 93 point, 7 responden mendapat 89 point, 3 responden mendapat 86 point. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa seluruh responden memiliki pengetahuan yang baik terhadap pentingnya perawatan sesuai etika dan komunikasi efektif pada pasien.

E Ethics is a study of how appropriate the behaviour of profession is. Communication is a transaction which is symbolic process that requires people to manage their environment by developing their relationships among humans through the information exchange that aim to strengthen the attitudes and behaviors of other people also to change the attitudes and behaviors of people. An effective communication between doctor and patient will be helpful due to the recovery process of the patient and the advancement of doctor to treat the patient. The aim of this study is to determine the knowledge of dental students to the treatment according to the ethics and effective communication to the patients. The sample in this study was 97 clinical students of the RSGM TRISAKTI. This study is a descriptive study with a cross-sectional approach, the causal variables or risks and results or cases that occurred to the object of this study were measured or collected simultaneously (at the same time). The result was a 100% of respondents had a good knowledge. All respondents scored above 70 points. There were 60 respondents that got 100 points, 27 respondents that got 93 points, 7 respondents that got 89 points, and 3 respondents that got 86 points. These showed that all respondents had a great knowledge of the importance of appropriate treatments according to the ethics and effective communication with the patients.
