RKS&Co. merupakan salah satu perusahaan produsen aksesori alat-alat m11sik RKS Music Hard Case yang lahir pada tahun 1997, yang masih berbasis Industri Kecil dan Menengah berusaha untuk menghasilkan produk dengan kualitas yang dapat bersaing dengan produk dalam maupun luar negeri dari perusahaan dengan skala besar.Semakin ketatnya persaingan dt: asa ini membuat pengembangan produk menjadi penting bukan hanya bagi kepuac;an pelanggan tapi juga bagi perusahaan agar dapat tampil kompetitif dan memiliki profitabilitas tinggi ·Pada awal tahun 2005, terjadi penurunan tingkat penjualan perusahaan sarnpai dengan 18- 25%, maka untuk menjaga eksistensinya, perusahaan ini harus mengembangkan produknya. Perlu diidentifikasi karakteristik produk music hard case yang dapat memenuhi keinginan dan kebutuhan konsumen. Dengan menggunakan teknik dan pembuatan rumah kualitas (HOQ}, perusahaan akan memperoleh gambaran hubungan antara keinginan dan kebutuhan konsumen dengan karakteristik teknis yang menjadi kebutuhan desain pengembangan produk music hard case itu sendiri. Selain itu juga dapat diketahui urutan prioritas karakteristik teknis, atribut keiginan dan kebutuhan konsumen yang perlu diperhatikan oleh perusahaan serta perbandingan produk perusahaan dengan produk pesaing agar dapat memenuhi kebutuhan konsumen, sehingga akhirnya dapat diberikan usulan pengembangan produk yang dapat rnemenuhi keinginan konsumen secara lebih menyeluruh.Adapun tujuan dari penelitian adalah mengetahui keinginan dan kebutuhan konsumen terhadap produk, memberikan gambaran posisi produk dibandingkan dengan dua pesaing utamanya, menentukan karakteristik teknis dari produk bescrta target yang tepat sehingga nantinya kebutuhan konsumen lebih dapat terpenuhi, memberikan gambari:in prioritas karakteristik produk music hard case yang harus dipenuhi perusahaan sesuai dengan keinginan dan kebutuhan konsumen serta memberikan usulan pengembangan produk yang dapat memenuhi ket>utuhan konsumen secara lebih menyeluruh untuk mencapai kepuasan konsumen. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menerapkan QFD yang rnenggunakan metodologi. Fuzzy QFD berdasarkan data linguistik. R RKS&Co. is one of the moderate company which held in 1997, based in small and medium industry produce music accessories for music equipment known as RKS Music Hard Case, encouraged to make good quality products to compete the competitors, such as domestic and foreign company which have same industry, but had a big scale of industry. The increase of competition nowadays makes the development of product very important, not just fur customer\'s satisfaction, but also for the company to have high competitive advantage and profitability.In early year 2005, this company had a decreasing of demand and increasing loss sales for18-25%, therefore to keep survived, this company should develope the products and bring rt>newal utility to markets. This company should identified the engineering characteristics which answer the customer need. Using the House of Quality (HOQ) technics will deploy the produt£ into many engineering characteristics to lead the company for make some improving and developing products, especially music hard case products. In addition, company have a purpose to indentify the characteristic of music hard case product that customer want, to identify high competitive products and to set a series of technical characteristic priority for each of that customer. This method will help company to answers the customers needs, so advices of product development to satisfying customer\'s needs can be given better.The aims of this experiment is to deploy customer needs about the product, gives company position benchmarking with rivals, sets technical responses and proper target to achievl! customerrequirement, gives priority characteristics and some advices for developing old products that can achieve total customer satisfaction. This case study applied QFD with fuzzy approac,h based on linguistic data. The tools used QFD Designer version 4 dari Qualisofi were tools adjusted to the requirement of the fuzzy methodology., From the data processing that has been done, it is known that there are 13 (thirteen)customer\'s needs characteristic (WHATs) and 19 (nineteen) technical characteristic (HOWs). Each of the customer\'s needs characteristic has a different degree of importance. Then, the degree of importance from customer\'s need characteristics and the relation between WHATs a.id HOWs changed into a linguistic data and later changed into a flizzy number. After that, fUZLJ\' arithmetic is used to calculate the multiplication and addition of the technical characteristic with customer\'s need and at last, deffuzification method is used to change that fuzzy uumher into a crisp number. This crisp number that will be used in absolute importance in House Of Qu:ility. It is the fuzzy approach that will be used to reduce subjectivity and vagueness of tht: quali ative data. Result from this absolute importance will give priority to the technical characteristic so that the company can know which technical characteristic that should be considered first. Jn this research there are two defuzzification method used, that is Centroid and MoM (Mean of Maxima). From the two defuzzification method used, the priority result produced from centroid method.From the priority sequencing, whether using centroid or MoM method, it is known that the corrected measurement, quality of imitation leather and variaton of shape and models placed at top position compared to other technical characteristic. By knowing this, the company should repair that technical charateristics. Moreover the three characteristic is strongly related to the fit the product with the music equipment that is considered important by the customer. Even tough, the company must still also considered another technical characteristic.
