P T. Topjaya Antariksa Electronics merupakan perusahaan manufaktur seri peralatan rumah tangga oleh TOSHIBA, yang berfokus kepada berbagai macam produksi seperti lemari pendingin, freezer, dan showcase. Stasiun kerja yang diteliti adalah departemen vacuum forming. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi risiko ergonomi postur kerja operator dan merancangan usulan perbaikan sistem kerja yang optimal agar dapat mengurangi masalah ergonomi pada operator. Berdasarkan ergonomi checklist yang diperoleh dari hasil pengamatan awal diketahui bahwa postur kerja dari operator memiliki resiko Musculosceletal Disorders (MSDs). Persentase keluhan tubuh secara keseluruhan yang dialami oleh 2 operator yang menangani proses manual drilling (bagian atas) adalah 14,28 % sedangkan persentase keluhan tubuh secara keseluruhan yang dialami oleh 2 operator proses manual drilling (bagian bawah) adalah 25 %. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah NBM, REBA, QEC, dan JSI.Berdasarkan hasil Nordic Body Map, ditunjukan bahwa operator sering mengalami sakit pada bagian punggung, pinggang, dan betis kanan. Postur kerja kritis yang tidak ergonomis terjadi pada operator (bagian bawah). Berdasarkan metode REBA diperoleh hasil bahwa operator memiliki risiko tinggi dengan skor 8 sehingga “diperlukan tindakan segeraâ€. Berdasarkan Metode QEC, didapat nilai exposures score sebesar 82,09% yang berarti dibutuhkan perubahan secepat mungkin. Sedangkan berdasarkan hasil dari Metode JSI, didapat nilai interpretasi Job Strain Index senilai 20,25 dimana hal itu menunjukan bahwa keadaan kerja “membahayakanâ€.Usulan perbaikan untuk memperbaiki kondisi postur kerja pada proses manual drilling khususnya pada operator (bagian bawah) berdasarkan aspek tahapan perancangan produk generik, adalah: mengidentifikasi data kebutuhan operator (customer needs), mengelompokkan kebutuhan operator menjadi beberapa hirarki, membuat need metric-matrix, pohon klasifikasi konsep, screening concept, dan scoring concept. Perbaikan juga didukung dengan penambahan alat bantu kerja berupa meja mesin perkakas. Dimana dapat dilakukan pengaturan arah pengerjaan drilling dengan bantuan panel kontrol CNC yang dapat digunakan oleh operator, disertai dengan lintasan conveyor. Posisi meja dan proses kerja terhadap material inner liner di rancang sesuai dengan ketinggian optimal dengan dimensi 1.000 mm dan waktu baku 11 detik, sehingga operator dapat bekerja secara ergonomis dan dapat mengurangi risiko (MSDs), dilengkapi dengan simulasi berupa animasi 3D dengan menggunakan software solidworks.
P T. Topjaya Antariksa Electronics was TOSHIBA manufacturing company that focused on household equipment production like refrigerator, freezer, and showcase. The work stations that had been observed in this company was Vacuum Forming Department. The main purpose of this research was to identify the ergonomic risk of the operator’s work posture, to develop and propose an optimal improvement to decrease the ergonomic risk. Based on the ergonomic checklist from an early observation, it was known that the operator work posture had a Musculosceletal Disorders (MSDs) risk. According to what the whole body had experienced, the percentage of complaint for each two manual drilling operator who work for both upper part and lower part were 14,28% and 25% respectively. The method used in this research were NBM, REBA, QEC, and JSI.Based on the observation through Nordic Body Map, it shows that operators were often feeling pain on their back, waist, and right calf. The least-ergonomic work posture occured on lower operator. From the REBA result, which was 8 point, it shows that an immediate action was required. The result from QEC method also shows that an immediate change were required with the exposure score around 82,09%. Not only that, the work condition was considerate as “dangerous†as The JSI method shows interpretation score that was 20,25.The proposed improvements to improve the work posture at manual drilling process, especially for lower operator, based on generic product design stage aspect were: identifying the customer needs, grouping the customer needs into several hierarchy, making need metric-matrix, concept-classification tree, screening concept, and scoring concept. The proposed improvement were by adding a work tool aids, so the tools table can be moved with CNC control panel by operator, adjusted with conveyor track. Table position and work process were designed with a suitable optimal height to the material inner liner with dimension 1.000 mm and standard time 11 seconds so that operator can work optimally and reduce the (MSDs) risk. The improvement mechanism can be seen by running simulation with solidworks software in 3D form.
