Hubungan paparan asap rokok dan kejadian asma dengan kualitas hidup anak SD
L ATAR BELAKANGPelajar SD dikategori usia anak sebagai generasi penerus yang akan mempengaruhi kualitas kesehatan masyarakat kedepannya. Anak sebagai Fondasi kesehatan masyarakat harus selalu diperhatikan dalam tumbuh kembangnya. Masalah kualitas kesehatan ini sangat berpengaruh terhadap salah satu aspek kualitas hidup. Faktor lingkungan sangat mempengaruhi kesehatan pada anak, salah satu faktor risikonya adalah udara. Bukan hanya oksigen yang dihirup, namun bisa terhirup juga asap rokok dan menjadi perokok pasif. Dampak asap rokok yaitu penyakit jantung koroner, trombosis koroner, kanker pada sistem pernafasan, bronkitis, dan kejadian asma. Hal ini dapat mempengaruhi kualitas hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan paparan asap rokok dan kejadian asma dengan kualitas hidup anak SD.METODEPenelitian menggunakan desain studi observasional analitik cross sectional. Pemilihan subjek menggunakan metode consecutive sampling, sebanyak 92 siswa Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu Darul Quran November 2022. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner paparan asap rokok Second-hand smoke exposure (SHSES) dengan 4 pertanyaan, kuesioner kejadian asma International study of ashma and alergic in childhood (ISSAC) dengan 9 pertanyaan, dan kuesioner kualitas hidup anak (Pediatric Quality of Life (PedsQL) dengan 23 pertanyaan. Analisis data menggunakan uji statistik chi square.HASILDari 92 responden yang berpartisipasi pada penelitian ini, sebanyak 18 responden (19,6%) memiliki tingkat paparan asap rokok tinggi, 24 reponden (26,1%) memiliki tingkat paparan asap rokok sedang, dan 50 responden (54,3%) memiliki tingkat paparan asap rokok rendah. Sebanyak 28 responden (30,4%) memiliki kejadiaan asma, sementara 64 responden (69,6%) tidak memiliki kejadian asma. Sebanyak 52 responden (56,5%) memiliki kualitas hidup baik, dan 40 responden (43,5%) memiliki kualitas hidup buruk. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan hubungan yang bermakna antara tingkat paparan asap rokok dan kualitas hidup (p=0,000), dan antara kejadian asma dan kualitas hidup anak SD (p=0,000).KESIMPULANTerdapat hubungan bermakna antara tingkat paparan asap rokok dan kejadian asma dengan kualitas hidup anak
B ACKGROUNDElementary school students are in the child age category as the next generation which will affect the quality of public health in the future. Children as the foundation of public health must always be considered in their growth and development. The problem of health quality is very influential on one aspect of quality of life. Environmental factors greatly affect the health of children, one of the risk factors is air. Not only inhaled oxygen, but also inhaled cigarette smoke and become passive smokers. The effects of cigarette smoke are coronary heart disease, coronary thrombosis, cancer of the respiratory system, bronchitis, and asthma. This can affect quality of life. This study aims to determine the relationship between exposure to cigarette smoke and the incidence of asthma with the quality of life of elementary school children.METHODSThis study used a cross-sectional analytic observational study design. The selection of subjects used the consecutive sampling method, totaling 92 students of Darul Quran Integrated Islamic Elementary School November 2022. This study used a Second-hand smoke exposure (SHSES) questionnaire with 4 questions, an International study of asthma and allergy in childhood (ISSAC) questionnaire with 9 questions, and the Pediatric Quality of Life (PedsQL) questionnaire with 23 questions. Data analysis used the chi-square statistical test.RESULTSRespondents who participated in this study are 92, which are 18 respondents (19,6%) had a high level of exposure to cigarette smoke, 24 respondents (26.1%) had a moderate level of exposure to cigarette smoke, and 50 respondents (54.3%) had low levels of exposure to secondhand smoke. A total of 28 respondents (30.4%) had asthma, while 64 respondents (69.6%) did not have asthma. As many as 52 respondents (56.5%) have a good quality of life, and 40 respondents (43.5%) have a bad quality of life. The results of the chi square statistical test showed that there was a significant relationship between the level of exposure to cigarette smoke and quality of life (p=0.000), and between the incidence of asthma and the quality of life of elementary school children (p=0.000)CONCLUSIONSThere are correlation between second-hand smoke exposure and the incidence of asthma with the quality of life of SDIT Darul Quran children.
