Efektivitas berbagai metode bedah dalam mempercepat perawatan ortodonti (scoping review)
L atar Belakang: Ortodonti merupakan cabang dari ilmu kedokteran gigiyang membahas tentang perkembangan pada wajah dengan gigi geligi danoklusi. Perawatan ortodonti akan memperbaiki berbagai masalah maloklusiyang akan berdampak terhadap masalah pada daerah maksilofasial danrongga mulut. Terdapat beberapa metode bedah dalam mempercepatpergerakan gigi dalam mempercepat perawatan ortodonti seperticorticotomy, periodontally accelerated osteogenic orthodontics (PAOO),inter-septal alveolar surgery, kotikasi, piezocision, dan microosteoperforation(MOP). Tujuan: untuk mengetahui efektivitas berbagaimetode bedah dalam mempercepat perawatan ortodonti. Metode: penelitianini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode scoping review denganberdasarkan pedoman PRISMA. Pencarian dilakukan dengan menggunakanBoolean search menggunakan dua database elektronik (PubMed danGoogle Scholar). Hasil: 5 artikel dimasukkan ke dalam tinjauan sistematisdan didapatkan hasil penelitian yang berbeda yaitu beberapa jurnalmengatakan bahwa metode tersebut tidak efektif dan beberapa jurnalmengatakan bahwa metode tersebut efektif. Kesimpulan: Microosteoperforation(MOP) merupakan metode bedah yang efektif dalammempercepat perawatan ortodonti.
B ackground: Orthodontics is one of specialty of dentistry that deals with thedevelopment of the face with dentition and occlusion. Orthodontic treatment willcorrect various malocclusion problems that will affect problems in the maxillofacialarea and oral cavity. There are several surgical methods to accelerate toothmovement in accelerating orthodontic treatment such as corticotomy, periodontallyaccelerated osteogenic orthodontics (PAOO), inter-septal alveolar surgery,corticision, piezocision, and micro-osteoperforation (MOP). Objective: todetermine the effectiveness of various surgical methods in accelerating orthodontictreatment. Method: this study was conducted using the scoping review methodbased on the PRISMA guidelines. The searching was performed using Booleansearch using two electronic databases (PubMed and Google Scholar). Result: 5articles were included in the systematic review and different research results wereobtained, some journals said that the method was ineffective and some journals saidthat the method was effective. Conclusion: micro-osteoperforation (MOP) is aneffective surgical methods for accelerating orthodontic treatment.
