P ada proses pemboran, Lumpur pemboran merupakan salah satu bagianyang memiliki peran sangat penting, mulai dari awal pemboran hingga pahat bormencapai kedalaman yang dituju serta menghindari kesulitan dan potensi masalahyang dapat timbul. Adapun kesulitan atau potensi masalah tersebut salah satunyaadalah kehilangan lumpur pemboran. Salah satu cara untuk mencegah danmenanggulangi kehilangan lumpur pemboran tersebut adalah denganmenggunakan media LCM.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa lumpur berbahan dasar air asin buatandengan penambahan pelepah pisang sebanyak 3 gram dam 5 gram pada sistem B1dan B2 memenuhi nilai spesifikasi saat temperatur 240oF. Pada sistem B1 densitas8.65 ppg, viskositas 76 second/quart, PV 20 cp, YP 15 cp, gel strength 10sec 4lb/100ft2, gel strength 10min 11 lb/100ft2, API water loss 30min 7.8 cc, mud cake1.4 mm dan pH filtrate 10.5.Pada sistem B2 dimana densitas 8.67 ppg, viskositas 85 second/quart, PV23 cp, YP 17 cp, gel strength 10sec 5 lb/100ft2, gel strength 10min 13 lb/100ft2,API water loss 30min 7.2 cc, mud cake 1.5 mm dan pH filtrate 10.3.Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah, bahwa sistem lumpur B memenuhispesifikasi dimana nilai sifat fisik dan rheologi nya memenuhi standarlaboratorium. Sedangkan sistem A, sebagian besar tidak memenuhi spesifikasi.Dapat digaris bawahi bahwa sistem B atau pelepah pisang efektif dalammenangani lost circulation.

While the system A, the vast majority do not meetspecifications. Can be underlined that the system B or banana bark effective indealing with lost circulation.
