Abstrak
Abstract

L Latar belakang: air bersih merupakan sumber kehidupan bagi manusia tanpa terkecuali praktik kedokteran gigi. Hampir seluruh tindakannya menggunakan air bersih. Karena pentingnya air bersih maka dilakukan penelitian pada 15 klinik dokter gigi di sekitar kampus universitas trisakti untuk mengetahui sumber air yang digunakan dalam aktifitas dokter gigi di sekitar kampus universitas trisakti apakah sudah baik. Tinjauan masalah: apakah air yang digunakan pada praktek dokter gigi disekitar kampus universitas trisakti sudah baik ? Tujuan penelitian : mengetahui kelayakan air yang digunakan oleh dokter gigi di sekitar kampus universitas trisakti. Metode yang digunakan : adalah hasil yang diperoleh dari pembiakan kuman yang diambil dari wastafel menunjukan terdapat bakteri Bacillus (spora), E-Coli, Staphylococus Albus dari dental unit tidak terdapat bakteri hal itu menunjukan bahwa klinik dokter gigi di sekitar kampus universitas trisakti sudah cukup aman digunakan.

B Background : as we know the function of clean water has been played the major role in daily life, in this case specially in dental practice. We use clean water in almost every thing that we do. Clean water is the source of life for human beings without exception the practice of dentistry. Almost all actions using clean water. Because of the importance of clean water, then we researched froml5 dental clinics in around Trisakti University to find out the source of water that used in their activities of dentists in around trisakti university is already good. The problem : whether the water used in dental practice around Trisakti University is good?. The purpose of this research : determine the feasibility of water used by dentists around of the University Trisakti. The method used : the result from the breeding of germs in the basin which indicates there are bacteria Bacillus (spore), E-Coli, Staphylococus Albus of dental units. And finally there are no bacteria that showed from the dental clinic in around Trisakti University is quite safe to be use.
