T The title for this thesis is Bali's Image in Bagus Beach, Taman Impian Jaya Ancol. Its written by Nurvitasari and the supervisors are Ir. Isamoe Prasodyo, Msi and Ir. Rosalina Napitupulu. Because of the increase of human need in recreation and the limited fun for people to have recreation out of Jakarta, so Bagus Beach that is located in east beach of Taman Impian Jaya Ancol is chosen for a place to relaxation. The total area of Bagus beach is about 18 HA and it completed with a beautiful scene and its the most slope beach around the other beach in TIJA. Bali is chosen for this design because its a beautiful island that has some unique culture, and its also provided for the people in Jakarta specially for them who cannot visit and feel the beautiful of Bali. Through the theme of Bali's image that applied Bali's ornament in site, it wish that it can create a place for recreation that can bring the visitor to Balineese charm situation that can enjoy for all ages category and all society.Through the basic theory from design that is going to apply in site, Patra is chosen to realize the theme of Bali's Image in Bagus beach design. Patra is an ornament of Balinese culture that is imitate Bali's Flora. Taman Bunga Nusantara and Four seasons Resort, Bali are chosen as a study comprehension for this thesis.The attractive sea and the sloppy beach are the main potential of the site. On the other hand, the main issues in the site is the high temperature that it is caused by the high sun intensity. So, how to design some facilities that can support site from function, form, economy, and time.According to the assumption of the visitors and their activities from ages category, and the condition of user and their existing building, the site is divided into 3 function of space. They are welcoming area, recreation area, and concert area, that is each area has its own characteristic and its still in Balinese culture.The Bagus beach design is based on some concept, such as space concept, circulation concept, planting design concept, and utility concept. Those concept are create from interpretation of landscape as a beautiful that it theme is Bali's image to create a Bali situation in Jakarta that can support all activities, function and potencies in site.As the landscape design result, there are divided into 3 large areas that have some facilities and those facilities are created from the function of each area. For example in recreation area there are an replica of elephant cave (Goa Gajah) bathing place, replica Pura Ulun Danu Bratan, Bali art Plaza, Peken (Market of Bali's art) etc.
