D Daerah penelitian berada pada Blok “Melani”, sub-Cekungan Cipunegara, CekunganJawa Barat Utara. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya menganalisis lingkungan pengendapan dalam kegiatan eksplorasi hidrokarbon dengan mempelajari dan menggabungkan karakter elektrofasies log dan fasies seismik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini antara lain untuk mengetahui kerangka sikuen stratigrafi, mengetahui fasies lingkungan pengendapan, dan mengetahui arah pengendapan dari sikuen kedua Formasi Talang Akar di daerah penelitian. Data yang digunakan adalah data sumur dan seismik 3D. Metode yang digunakan antara lain, korelasi data sumur,analisis seismik sikuen dan fasies seismik, serta peta isochore dan isopach untuk melihat arah pengendapan dan sebaran lingkungan pengendapan. Analisis fasies dengan metode elektrofasies dilakukan dengan cara mengidentifikasi pola log GR sumur yang kemudian dikorelasi dengan beberapa sumur lainnya. Sedangkan metode seismik fasies dilakukan dengan menggunakan rumus ((A-B) / C). Suksesi fasies Formasi Talang Akar berdasarkan elektrofasies dan fasies seismik berupa distributary channel, delta plain marsh, delta front shale, dan distributary mouthbar. Arah pengendapan pada daerah penelitian berarah barat daya – timur laut.

T This research area is located in “Melani” Field, Cipunegara sub-Basin, North WestJava Basin. The background of this research is because the importance of determining depositional environment in hydrocarbon exploration activity by learning and combining the characters of its field data. The purpose of this research were to determine depositional facies and depositional direction of second sequence order of Talang Akar Formation in study area. The data that used in this research were well log data and 3D seismic data. The methods that used were electrofacies,seismic sequence analysis, seismic facies analysis, and isopach mapping. Electrofacies analysis has been done by identifying well log data, then correlating all of well data based on similar ages. The seismic facies and seismic sequence analysis has been done by defining the boundary of sequence body then by using formula ((A–B)/C) to make facies seismic map. While isopach map was made to know where the main depositional direction. The result of electrofacies analysis was the depositional successions of Talang Akar Formation in study area which were distributary channel, delta plain marsh, delta front shale, and distributary mouthbar. In the other side, the result of isopach map showing the depositional direction was from southwest to north east.
